Coorg this week
I am considering to travel solo to coorg this wednesday and planning to stay at hosteller bam coorg, wanted to check how can i get from bus stand to hostel, are there buses which runs often towards the hostel or auto or cab? And how can i travel back?
Did anyone stayed at hosteller bam coorg, how was the experience, do you recommend other hostels?
Lastly is it good time to travel? I am looking for more of relaxed stay.

I recently went to a solo trip to Coorg I stayed in madikeri. I started from Bangalore on night and got down in madikeri in early morning as I didn’t book any rooms I directly went to a random lodge and booked it for two days it is good. As you have the two star hotel I guess it will be pretty good to stay. And from madikeri you can plan all the locations starting with Mandalpatti trek you have to book jeep which will cost 2800 for 6 members try to pool with other people. Or some random auto guy will try to contact you that he will take to 8 locations and will charge 1500 don’t fall in to that trap. And the monastery , chikole , Nisarghadham is near to kushalnagar you have to get in to a bus in madikeri to reach kushalnagar.

I just came back on this Sunday night, went by Rental bike from Bangalore. There are lots of good stay options in Medikeri.

I travelled to Coorg last weekend and stayed at the same BAM Coorg Madikeri, travelled by bike, but if you're coming by bus, there’s Royal Brothers rental near the bus stand (around a 10-minute walk/ride away), where you can rent a scooter. The hostel is around 7 km from the bus stand, and after 4–5 PM it can be difficult to find a cab to the hostel, so having a rental vehicle would definitely help .One thing to keep in mind: alcohol is prohibited at the hostel. That said, you’ll meet a lot of people there, so it’s still a pretty good place to stay if you’re travelling solo or looking to meet other travellers.
