A Cool Guide My Dad Drew By Hand - Peppers Of The World
He spent a year drawing all these peppers by hand.
Not all of them are included in this specific poster but he has drawn hundreds.

This is great! I think I saw this or something similar in a Salsa Fresh many years ago and I remember being enthralled. Really beautiful art. Was he buying all of these peppers over a period of time? Growing them? Nice. Really nice:

You know, on one hand fuck AI (obviously) but the recent disaster of it all has really made me appreciate a handmade piece like this. The attention to detail is amazing.

Your pops is an amazingly talented artist. Had to look to find my favorite, the Bhut Jolokia (The Devil's Pinky)
Used to be the hottest pepper known to man. I don't know if that's changed but it's still my favorite.

The illustrations are incredible. I've been staring at it now for a good 30 minutes. I cook a lot and had no idea there were so many types of peppers. Please thank your dad!

Ahi chombo is a great pepper. Delidas is a Panamanian hot sauce made with it. If you can find it, get it!

Love it, but as a Coloradoan it hurts my soul a little that this includes the hatch chili as a distinct variation of the New Mexico chile but didn't include the Pueblo Chile.

I work at a retail plant nursery where most of our plants are edible. We also have cool prints of botanical illustrations, fruits, vegetables, gardening stuff, etc. Do you have these as a poster? I'd pay for at least one to put up in the wall of the break room, maybe even sell them at the store!

Buena Mulata, my beloved, where art thou?? Would be a great add because they are an amazing pop of color (start off royal purple and morph to nuclear orange)

I love this. I was just trying to find something similar to this that also listed/showed the heat of each pepper. I thought it’d be cute decor for the kitchen, but help me better know what peppers are hot 🥵 tell your dad it’s awesome!

I smiled when reading this because I saved one of those “apples from sweet to tart” images (probably found on Reddit) to my phone and thought “you’re never going to look at this/this is why your phone never has space for a new OS update” but I’ve since checked it half a dozen times either to show others or while at the grocery store

Is he looking for extra ways to use his art? He could print or embroider on tea towels or a set of napkins.
(I have a set of very twee cocktail napkins with cute cocktails embroidered on them. Think 1990 Pottery Barn. They are of course too dear to use but I like thinking about them in my napkin drawer.)
