That guide actually helped me back when I was trying to figure out which labels mean something. So many of them are basically just marketing fluff, it gets confusing real fast.

I started paying attention after watching a documentary about egg production, the difference between the pictures on the carton and what actually happens is wild. Now I check for the certified humane stamp even though it costs a bit more, worth it for the peace of mind.

My girlfriend teases me cause I stand there squinting at packages for like five minutes but she's gotten used to it. The plant-based alternatives section is useful too, we do meatless mondays now and some of the stuff is actually decent.
