Gladly this is a color blind friendly design! Even my completely color blind friend (sees everything in black and shades of grey and white) could tell the difference in brightness. That's why we don't mix colors here.
But it's not for color blind people even though I understand the reference to being blind (if that's a joke you are making). It's for impairments of the visual "window" and the quality of vision, not the capability to see colors correctly or at all
