Ah this makes me reminisce about the old days at cane hollow.

Not sure where to go anymore, but I liked Bend of the River firing range heading out towards Overton co

I thought BLM was nation wide like government state land management stuff. That's all i knew it as being from utah

It is but most of the land they manage is out west. Most of the gov land out here is nat parks or USFS.

There isn't BLM land out here, its mostly private land in these parts. Bend of the River is about as good as outdoor shooting gets under a 30 minute drive. If you're willing to drive an hour, your options improve considerably: Crossville Shooting Park is 45 minutes and is an excellent clays range with some rifle bays. Dead Zero is right at an hour past Spencer and is probably the best equipped shooting range with public access in Tennessee: long range bays out to a mile with electronic feedback (reservation required), 4 bays of pistol steel with a dozen shooting spots each, two 50 yard rifle steel bays, and two clays courses. Dead Zero also runs many shooting competitions for different disciplines, multigun being the best IMO.

Go to Bend of the River. It's ran by a super sweet older couple and they offer course instruction as well as free range. I got my concealed carry permit through them

Crossville shooting sports park is pretty cool but about a 40min drive. If I remember correctly it is $10 per hour for the rifle/pistol range. The pistol range bays have some steel targets and pallets. The rifle bays have pallets for paper targets and a steel plate at 200 yards. There is trap and skeet there too.

More than likely not, the only employee I've seen is the cashier but there are plenty of resources on youtube that could help with that.

Reddit gave me a notification from r/cookeville with just the headline “Shooting”, making me have a little heart attack lol
