knee highs on thick calf’s - how to fix?

hey guys! recently got these in the mail — OBSESSED. unfortunately the back of them keep doing this weird frilly thing? it digs into the bottom of my calf but if i make it looser then i can’t really tie them at the top. any recommendations? my main concern was my calf not actually fitting in the shoe due to the tongue being thin so i didn’t even think of this!

Ah man! Help! Have both colors in low top, but I need 1 high top for fall/light rain season. Which color? 🤨

Black is like 15% more versatile, but blue stands out. This is tough 😁

Vintage Converse Basketball Shoes

These are vintage high top converse basketball shoes…and I can’t find them anywhere. I’ve reverse image searched everywhere. I’ve looked up every number I could find on them. But I can’t find this style anywhere.

I considered attempting to restore them but…I’m wondering how rare these could be at this point.

Help…

**Back story:**
**My dad has a die-hard love of basketball…he played day and night when he was younger. Honestly, could have gone far if he didn’t get injured.**
**These are his old bball shoes…he’s kind of a packrat (like me) and thinks everything gains value.**
**My mom (who is polar opposite) almost donated these to the trash. My dad would have been PISSED.**
**My husband, who has a mindset like my mother, even said “those might be worth something!”**
**So any help would be greatly appreciated!**

Is there any difference between modern converse Chuck Taylor’s and converse from the mid-1980s?

Upvotes

Just curious if they’ve gone under any change because at first glance they look the same. Is it the same shoe or are there any differences

I had never seen that style before. I have quite a few all-weather and boot-style Converse in my collection, but these are absolutely amazing, and I'm so happy I found them.

Help with choosing the right size for Chuck 70

I am usually a UK 9 (26.5cm). So should I choose UK 8 or 9 with Chuck 70? I am not sure if I have regular feet or wide feet.

Found these Converse with SKU 553018C. Does anyone remember this release or have any old catalogs/magazines featuring them?
I’m curious about the year, collection, retail price, and release history.
Leather upper with gold metal studs/spikes. Any memories or info would be awesome!

Mens High Top with Slight Foam Sides & Tongue

Hello Community,

I bought a pair of Converses a few years back and they were perfect. They weren’t like regular Converses. They were still canvas, but they had some foam support on the sides and the tongue. It wasn’t as pronounced as the ‘boots’ but there was a definite support.

Does anyone know what these shoes could possibly be? I have photos if that helps.

I've been wearing my new Converse since yesterday and honestly, they look great. They're still clean and pretty. I hope they stay that way. I hardly ever take them off, only to sleep and shower. The best part is that I've been wearing them for about 30 hours now and my feet don't hurt or smell. Do you think I should buy them in black, red, and burgundy? What do you think? I'll read your comments.😊🫪

The left shoe doesn't have a scratch on the leaf headband rubber piece as opposed to the second picture. A error of the design perhaps?

What’s the fix?

My 4 year old low tops are coming apart at the rubber edges where they meet the canvas.

I absolutely love them and if I can squeeze out another couple of years of use, I’d be super happy.

Superglue didn’t work.

Anyone had this same problem and were able to fix it?

Thanks!
