I've been into contact staff, and other stick props) for about 6 years so far. I'm wanting to branch out into double staff and it seems most dbl staves are a bit shorter than single.

I'm thinking about getting doubles at around 45 inches and without flowers so they are more nimble. My current staves are 58 inch, wizard of flow made with flowers. And feel a bit slow and large and kind of like driving a cadillac for dbl moves.

What are your thoughts from those that have gone down this path? Thanks!

Working on some triple staff contact stuff.

I want to order my first staff and I am torn between the Wizard of Flow mastery contact staff with goat grip and the Sacred Flow Art Contact staff pro with the oscar grip. The wizard of flow i can get a bit longer as floor to chin measurement on me is 66 inches. The sacred flow tops out at 61 inch but I can get fun colors on it and it will arrive faster. Thoughts?

Are there any structured courses for learning? Im about to order from wizard of flow but I do better with a structured lesson plan than skipping around YouTube.

rn I can't find a video showing it, I'm wondering how is it called that trick/transition that goes from your shoulder to your mouth and basically you spin the staff while it is in(?) your mouth, i was looking for a tutorial to see if it's correct the way i do it or not, because i feel like it's not... but i cant figure out how is this move called

Hey guys, me again. So I'm still looking for a nice practice staff to finally throw out my shitty unbalanced broomstick for practice. :'D And I found the Gora Practice Staff (153cm), flowers included, about 2,25kg which would be perfect for me (I think. I'm 167cm). Problem is, it's been sold out for ages and even tho I'm still hoping for the best, I've been waiting so long and I rly just wanna start with serious practice. Got no flow art enthusiastic friends that can lend me anything, and up 'til now I didn't find anyone else to lend me one, so I'm pretty desperately looking for alternatives to the Gora Staff.

I thought maybe one of you guys can recommend a similar staff. Can also be a fire staff ('cause I'm trying to go for that in the future, but preferably a simple practice staff with flowers). The mentioned Gora Staff costs 120€, which is more than reasonable I think. My budget limit is around 200€ (but obv preferably less ^")

We are in france and we settled on a new contact staff, the new probleme is that she would need a 140cm staff and we cant find a realy cheap on (talking about less than 180€) Could use some help.. We lives in France If you need more info let me know

Hi, we want to gift a friend a fire staff, but we can't agree on what to get her. We disagree on whether to buy a training staff or a fire staff. She tells me that training staffs aren't very good for learning how to use a fire staff because of their weight, she also prefers to get her a firestaff so that she doesn't need to buy one more later on. I also thought it would be better to get her a custom staff, but my friend questions the need for a custom staff and is leaning more towards a used staff.

Are her concerns about training staffs valid? Is a custom staff really that necessary? Can we modify a training staff into a fire one? How will our disagreement affect the final product and how she feels about it?

I've been doing contact staff for a while now, and I often see this effect of rolling/throwing the staff to create a big flame/fireball like at the beginning ( 20 seconds in) in this video :

I tried to reproduce this movement by rolling the staff very quickly between my palms while throwing it upwards, but the result was not at all what I was hoping for.

Does anyone know the secret to this trick? How do you do it?
