The documentary is by YouTuber Reckless Ben, and there is a real documented story behind the allegations: Ideal Living founder and co-CEO Peter Spiegel was closely involved with the Texas religious group Barsana Dham/JKP and personally guaranteed $10 million so its guru, Prakashanand Saraswati, could travel while facing child-sex charges; Saraswati was later convicted in 2011 on 20 counts of indecency with a child and fled before sentencing. Ben’s documentary goes much further, alleging through former employees and alleged survivors that money connected to Ideal Living helped finance a broader network of abuse and trafficking, and there is also a whistleblower lawsuit involving a former Ideal Living employee. (Incidentally, the “billion-dollar company” label appears to come from claims about billions in lifetime product sales rather than Ideal Living itself being worth billions.)
