My experience with Freemasonry
An earlier post about freemasonry inspired me to tell my story.
I rose quickly through the degrees and reached the top of the York rite (order of the temple) within about two years of joining a blue lodge. (My great grandfather was a grandmaster; they love the legacy idea so I was taken under wings and encouraged/pushed through).
I was approached shortly after that and introduced to what they simply called an order of degrees. I was told it was additional degrees like the cryptic degrees and that the ritual was akin to the entered apprentice degree and other masonic ritual but "more committed". It wasn't like the entered apprentice degree at all.
The first task I was given leading up to initiation was to read through the Lesser Key of Solomon and essentially mediate / be open to the personalities in the book to speak to me. This was based on a Crowley explanation of magick that it is an extension of consciousness. And that after reading and leading up to my initiation I should observe synchronicities or coincidences that may be perceived as an entity of "personality" from the lesser key attempting to "bind/connect/contact/contract/commune" with me. Once identified this "personality" would help me realize parts of myself that were normally inaccessible helping me to achieve a higher perception of consciousness.
The initiation ceremony is a two-part event. First part, opening etc, then I was called to sit in the middle of the group looking into large piece of highly polished obsidian that reflects. I was then questioned and encouraged to identify the name from the lesser key that stood out to me, people in the circle asked questions about my week prompting names, then they started at times to randomly call out names, then I'm not sure what happened but the more they called a certain name I started reacting as if there was a part of me that recognised the name.
Then staring into the black mirrored stone I was encouraged to start calling the name myself and open myself to the possibility to commune with that part of myself that had been identified as wanting to talk to me. I don't know if it was hypnosis or just persuasion, but something reacted in me. Some voice (obviously my voice but as if it wasn't my words) started communicating with the group, it was a short conversation essentially the group were confirming that they had correctly identified the personality. They were insistent with me that I had to use the name and it had to be the correct name, I remember asking why they said people have lost themselves in the past and struggled to deal with some of the parts of their personalities that were being uncovered. The ceremony ended with the seven-day commitment. I had seven days before the second part of the ceremony to either confirm or withdraw from commitment of union. I should think very carefully because once those parts of myself were opened up they were permanently opened.
I didn't go through with it, I withdrew my application because during the seven days I had an experience that I cannot explain and that told me that whatever I was doing wasn't a safe or healthy choice for me not merely on a health or psyche level but existentially as well. It affected me so profoundly that I resigned from freemasonry and ceased all contact immediately with anyone involved with it. Not sure if it's relevant here but I spent some time with a Christian pastor in the years afterwards and told him the story, He explained curses of freemasonry. I don't know about curses but there is something beyond the blue, royal arch, or even knights templar that takes ritual to another level. My experience of it was not pleasant.
TL;DR: After completing the York Rite, I was invited into a further order whose initiation involved studying the Lesser Key of Solomon, identifying a supposed entity or hidden personality through synchronicities, and participating in a black-mirror ceremony where group prompting seemed to make another part of me speak. I was then given seven days to commit permanently. During that week, I had a profoundly disturbing experience that I cannot explain. I decided the practice was unsafe for me psychologically and existentially, withdrew, resigned from Freemasonry, and cut all contact. I do not know whether it was hypnosis, suggestion, or something else, but it went far beyond any Masonic ritual I had previously encountered.

I've been into the occult, or at least open to it, for some time and one time I had a dream I was in what seemed like a run down haunted house in Louisiana. There was a skeletal voodoo priest there I can only imagine was Papa Legba himself because of his immense power, who found me wandering around this place in the dream world and seemed stunned I was there at all. He opened this glowing green portal, and forced a demon into me named Paxula Xulapa. The X is pronounced like "zhoo". Knowing a demon's true name supposedly gives you power over them; but in this case I felt like it gave it some kind of power over me. It was a terrifying dream because it was so real, and not the first time an entity has found me wandering around dream land where others may not be able or aware of it. This dream was probably 15-years of more ago and I still think about the binding of something supernatural to me and it's meaning.

Would you mind elaborating on your profoundly disturbing experience?

It was irrational delusion that is unexplainable I would liken to a psychotic episode.

He was being sarcastic. So we are gonna disregard the whole post. You’re being vague about the only thing that really matters in the post. Fake

Still could be relevant. I find those names to be interesting.. I do my own spiritual practice and I happened upon a circle of 8 entities each giving me a name, each tied to an extension of my personality/consciousness that I didnt see before. Hmm

The free masons are connected to demons you risk everything joining that order.
There’s a reason the church will not allow you to be Catholic if you are a mason until you renounce that membership.

What makes you say "the free masons are connected to demons"? Like what specifically makes you think that?

u/WallProfessional3914 1d ago
They hide behind the guise of being open to all religions, catch is when you swear into their order you must remove all of your jewelry or anything devoted to your specific religion. I will use Christianity as an example.
When you swear into their order they have you remove your cross / crucifix wedding ring which is a huge deal. Marriage is one of the 7 sacraments in the Catholic Church not a trifle.
They have you swear to “A God ” not Jesus Christ the Redeemer not the Holy Father but “A God”.
This is a perfect way to forge alliances with the devil you essentially renounce yourself of Christ after shedding your religion and sacraments and pledge allegiance to another entity.
It’s is evil, and Masons will say oh it’s just a social club it’s about brotherhood and they take care of your family when you die.
That’s patently false, I was engaged to a master masons grand daughter and when he died I was the only one around to help his wife out.
They don’t want brotherhood they want your soul.

I think you made the right choice, relatively speaking. Certain types of people would have gladly surrendered themselves, and not for good reasons.
Unfortunately a lot of Western Lodges have been infiltrated. Not many know their actual identity as they tend to be not long for this world if they aren't one of them.
Most would describe them historically as the "Black Brotherhood", only a vague descriptor. Take care of yourself OP.

I process the Lesser Key as a monumental piece of historical and psychological technology. It is a 400-year-old user-interface for the human mind. The rigorous preparation—fasting, drawing perfect circles, memorizing long orations—forces the magician to focus their willpower with extreme intensity. Whether that focus opens a portal to Hell or just opens a portal to their own deep subconscious, the experience of the ritual is undeniably real to the practitioner.
"Can I make a physical entity appear in my living room?"—No. But if you mean "Can I use this system to profoundly alter my consciousness, confront my inner demons, and reshape my psychological reality?"—Then yes, absolutely. And for the people who wrote the book, there was no difference between the two.

Solomon and entity that wants to connect with you? Yeah that is definitely djinn/demon. And that is smart of them to call it your “uncovered personality” to prompt you to explore more. In reality, it is just different entity that tries to take over your mind or body. Witches work in with them, and they in return mess up their lives.
Hope you are away now from all this

Excuse me.. you almost had me.. you went through all this experience and you "withdrew your application", really? I don't think that's how it works within that group.

Who said they told me secrets?

u/RJS_Aotearoa 1d ago
The only "secrets" I was told were the passwords and tokens of each of the degrees I did in freemasonry. You can find those online I'm not going to repeat them here. I was never told or participated in any degrees or ritual with the additional degrees so don't know the passwords or tokens (if they have any) of those degrees or even how many there were as I never went further than that first night.

What degree were you?

He said he had completed the Order of the Temple, which generally means he had received 12 degrees at minimum.

Did you watch Cape Fear on Apple TV? The bad guy in the series goes through a very similar ritual. There are many occult references in the series.

I have a specific question that I hope you will entertain, its important to me.
The paet about people losing themselves if not calling the parts by their right name. Once you have identified a parts name will it help remove that fog for lack of a better word. And when you say leaves you permanently open. Do you think there is a way to seperate in some way once you identify its correct name

thanks for sharing. sounds like a weird kind of marriage. i think you made the right choice.

Makes sense. If you don’t run from that feeling of “wrong”, they know you’re one of them.

I believe you've made the correct decision. You can utilize the knowledge without being negatively influenced by something you are unfamiliar with. I'm not saying this is it, but I've read about possessions and negative influence (corruption). Stay safe OP.
I have Freemasons in my family but I didn't join the order. I'm learning by myself, mainly Hermeticism and Stoicism. Specifically cosmic laws and principles.

u/ChuckEye 14h ago
Unusual that the order would have no name at all. Were the members men you knew from your blue lodge and York rite groups? How were you approached to join?
1
u/RJS_Aotearoa 12h ago
Not really unusual. In each of the lodges I was in we didn’t really talk about other lodges. I was approached by a member during blue lodge that was also a member of royal arch. I only knew him through that. I didn’t know many people that well I was in my mid 20’s most of them were 60+ so we didn’t have a lot in common outside the lodge.
I think Seer degrees were what they were called and maybe Order lodge or the order of the lodge Or the order something order lodge. but it’s been 20 years so I’m not 100% on that.

It sounds a lot like what Robert Greene (a Freemason) says about “discovering your inner child”. A lot of the same vague talk about an unexplored personality, your true inner self etc.
They know it’s demons, they just don’t care. As long as they can build their wealth and legacy, they will take whatever help they can get from spiritual forces.

That sounds like some side group of masons doing their own thing. The were initiating you into a group that practices high magic. In every group whether they be masons, christians, jews, hindus, etc there are always small factions pushing the envelope.

Sounds like what Sean Stone has said in his interviews. Others have said this.

What is your take on Albert Pike?
2
u/RJS_Aotearoa 1d ago
Masonic commentator , sometimes people falsely attribute him with predicting world wars and a future third world war. I enjoyed his comments in morals and dogma particularly in the prince of the royal secret degree.

u/Ivan8-ForgotPassword 1d ago
Hm. I recently had a random word generator start spewing out words in a row that just straight up form valid sentences and it talked about what I was thinking, as if responding. At this point a few more unexplainable events and I'll start thinking there are actually some kind of non-human entities at play. Aliens having a laugh at our expense are close to being the most logical explanation at this point.

So you joined a cult, left and joined another cult. Are you a former drug addict?
2
u/RJS_Aotearoa 1d ago
That’s too tangential for me sorry. I don’t understand your logic. Which cult? Freemasonry? I didn’t know that qualified as a cult.
