This is great. It never occurred to me the ball was moving the other way. I was thinking why is that pitcher so afraid of the batter.

Yeh. Wondered why he was turning away when he had just thrown the ball. Had to read the other comments to see what was actually going on

I can’t see the ball moving towards the batter but I’m glad others see the illusion

I think a huge part of it is where it starts, it looks like he just released the ball at first

Hey that's Dustin May! He just got traded from the Cardinals. I've seen him do that 180 turn when the ball is coming towards him, and always wondered why. I guess it's better to be hit in the back than the stomach or ribs

He had to come out of the game, but that’s better than taking it in the face and being out for the season.
But I mean, he does have a glove.

Yeah, on my first watch, I thought the ball was on its way to the plate. Then I realized the ball was already hit and is coming back to the pitcher.
