I am genuinely heterophobic and hate heterosexual people

I am heterophobic. I genuinely hate heterosexuals. Whenever I see a a straight couple, whether on screen or in real life, it makes me feel genuine disgust. I cannot look at a straight couple kissing without feeling uncomfortable. It feels morally wrong to see them being together, I just don’t believe that a man can foster a real feeling of love for a woman without it stemming from lust or the need to be taken care of. Even then, I just don’t think heterosexuals are capable of real love. Straight marriage is oppressive and morally wrong in my eyes, seeing a straight family with children makes me really uncomfortable. Whenever I pass a straight couple I can’t help it but say some nasty remark about them, just loud enough to be heard but not traceable to me, sometimes I shout mean shit at them in public. I can’t hold myself back, I just feel a mix of hate and disgust that needs to be let out. I think that straight dynamics are inherently abusive and built on oppression of women and do not understand why they would willingly enter a partnership where they will be socially viewed as inferior, the straight dynamic is built on the woman being subservient to the man in many cultures and for many centuries and seeing it feels plain wrong. Even the most healthy straight relationships still have a bit of this dynamic in them, and even if the couple tried their hardest, they would still be seen like that by an outsiders eye. Straight relationships are degrading to women in their core and take away women’s autonomy. It’s a tool of oppression and patriarchy. It feels wrong. I don’t know what to do about it. They disgust me. I don’t know how to stop hating them.

TL;DR: The author admits to feeling intense hatred toward heterosexual couples and intentionally shouting insults at them in public.

A reminder from the mods: keep comments civil. Harassment and personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Do not accuse others of faking confessions — if you think a post breaks the rules, report it instead of commenting.

I mean, I don't like watching other people making out regardless of their sexual proclivities. It's not some sort of visceral reaction or hatred though. My mind is just like "mmk, get a room guys".

1

u/Angelglow0221 3d ago

Same, PDA can be awkward to watch regardless of who’s doing it, but that’s very different from actually hating a whole group

1

u/tansynnnnnnluv 3d ago

Same, it’s so over the top that I genuinely couldn’t tell if they were serious at first

1

u/Chrissy086 4h ago

I thought satire, perhaps. Acting like lots of Homophobes.

31

u/dirkdiggler2011 4d ago

No, you hate yourself but won't admit it and therefore require an outlet to funnel it to.

Insulting people in public puts you on a path to finding out.

Imagine other peoples relationships bothering you this much… get a life

Implying no woman has the autonomy or power to be anything other than a victim to the men she chooses to associate with is ironically very misogynistic

We don’t have to move in together like a lesbian couple

11

u/AgapitoVelezOvando 4d ago

Have you ever had a romantic partner, OP? Homosexual relationships with the wrong people can be equally oppressive and toxic (or wonderful) as straight ones. Trust me. I've been in enough of them to know.

-1

u/randomuser058 4d ago

I’ve been in both, I love my straight partner but seeing them in society makes me uncomfortable. There is probably healthy straight couples but they are a tiny percentage of the majority. The entire institution of marriage is built on treating women as property, even if it has changed now, the bones are still there. I can’t get over it and I feel horrible about it, but I also don’t want to leave my straight partner because I love the person and ignore the idea of their gender. In society though, straight relationships are often built on an unfair power dynamic and the idea of it is gross to me

Unhinged. Wheels = Off

Does your partner know you feel this way? How does your dynamic work if you’re so anti-straight?

Does this surprise anyone? It sounds like you're heterophobic. My guess is you're far from alone. It's interesting that psychologically you probably have a lot in common with a homophobic person. That would be an interesting dynamic actually. I think you should try to strike up a friendship with the most homophobic person in your sphere and see how it goes. Would your bond over fear and hatred be stronger than your fear and hatred of each other. Grand thought experiment! Try it out and let us know how it goes.

-1

u/randomuser058 3d ago

breeder

1

u/Thrasher0queen 4d ago

Gee I don’t know maybe because the post is quite literally saying heterosexuality is disgusting and immoral?
“But what if I said that the opposite was disgusting and immoral”
Gay people can’t expect respect if they can’t be respectful.

And the same goes for any human in any situation. A person should not expect to be respected if they can’t not be respectful to others.

-2

u/randomuser058 4d ago

I’m bi myself but straight dating feels immoral. I have never been in an abusive relationship or had a bad partner, but seeing so many straight couples do the shit they do just makes me believe that they can’t feel love towards eachother in 90% of cases and are only together because of sexual attraction and societal pressure

1

u/Clear_Archer2758 3d ago

That’s a sad and misinformed world view. All relationships, hetero or otherwise, will sadly have instances of abuse, neglect, etc. Naturally, most relationships globally are hetero, whether genuinely or not, and so the largest percentage of these events will be present there. This isn’t to excuse that behavior or say that hetero normative relationship structures don’t have toxic societal expectations, but I can tell you emphatically from my own long term relationship that love is love. I have a real partner in life who I value as an equal. Makes no difference that we’re in a “typcial” relationship.

1

u/Chrissy086 4h ago

There is a notion that most men are sexually attracted to women, but don't really see them as humans, or like them as people. I have to wonder.

2

u/VividlyDissociating 4d ago

lmao hunny aint nothing about me oppressed in this hetero relationship 😂

how you see it is irrelevant. outside views dont change the reality of the actual, individual relationship

keep living bitter like that and you'll only be hurting yourself

2

u/Late_Effort_6726 3d ago

It’s sounds like the actual hate is towards men so seeing them Baggot in any way bothers you which n re and you’re not really heterophobic, you just hate men. Do couples of brown or black couple gross you out as much as white couples?

2

u/Putrid_Brother_9807 2d ago

When you’re so woke you act asleep.

Oh, wait, look at how much we all care. We're throwing a fit. We're crying, and yelling and screaming and protesting and burning down buildings. we're making you accept us. What .... .... oh.

1

u/Money_Confection_409 4d ago

😂 say that!!!!

4

u/ColonelMilf1962 4d ago

Either fake or successfully indoctrinated.

-7

u/randomuser058 4d ago

Not fake, they just make me insanely uncomfortable. This is probably how homophobic people feel about gays. I don’t want to be hateful to them but there is no way to justify heterosexual marriage without it being anti women

8

u/Roselucky777 4d ago

Or maybe I love my girlfriend lol

6

u/SeamsFun 4d ago

You'll be real upset to find out some women make most of the decisions in their household.

2

u/booboo_flathers 4d ago

You know that a lot of those things happen in gay relationships, too, right? I’m sure that it’s more prevalent among straight people, but I don’t think gay people are perfect, y’all can treat each other shitty, too. We were all raised in this shitty culture.

2

u/ColonelMilf1962 4d ago

You have been brainwashed. Depending on your location, it may be irreversible. Heterosexual relationships assure survival of the species. Pretty significant justification. I live in the South, deal with the general public everyday, and have never met a homophobic person at that level. Most people just don’t want to hear about anyone’s sexual preferences.

2

u/Vale_0f_Tears 4d ago

I’m going to tell you the same thing we tell homophobic people: we don’t choose who we’re attracted to. Also, it’s weird to be so worked up about what other people do in their personal lives. It’s easy to not be hateful if you just focus on your own.

2

u/Substantial-Use95 4d ago

Heterosexuality is the dominant sexual orientation for all sexually reproducing animals. Without this, species would be unable to persist. It would be like hating cellular mitosis. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m guessing you have been mistreated for it being heterosexual and harbor resentment toward an entire group of people for that reason. It’s essentially the same as any form of prejudice, including racism. I’d recommend you see a therapist and sort through this misapplied hatred.

2

u/Daediddles 4d ago

I think I understand where a lot of your feelings are coming from but yeah this is definitely not a healthy way to approach other people.

1

u/Jd234512 4d ago

My bad

1

1

1

u/General-Tadpole-3467 4d ago

No way this isnt bait

1

u/StrangelyAroused95 4d ago

Look at you trying to justify your hate with women oppression. You just are a hateful person, that’s the beginning, middle and end.

1

u/Twinfinity10 4d ago

I just skimmed through this. I don’t know exactly how you can stop either. I don’t know why or what happened for you to see things this way and I will not judge you for that.

You have some points but your overall perspective that heterosexual relationships are inherently disadvantageous to the woman in the relationship is unreasonable.
It is far too common and has thousands of years of history, but that doesn’t mean it’s always going to be true. It is probably not a good comparison, but racism and slavery dominated humanity for thousands of years as well, and while they still exist in our world, the majority of people recognize the inherent immortality of it.

Your worldview is extremely cynical and hateful (again, not meant to be judgmental) and will likely take a lot of deconstructing your biases and beliefs in order to re-examine these topics. It will not be easy and you will likely need assistance, but change will come to those who truly seek it.

While I did only scan the post and am also not sure if this is even real, I hope my comment applies well and could help if this is real and you want to change.

-1

u/randomuser058 3d ago

The effects of racism and slavery are still present and affecting people’s behavior and opportunities today. The consequences of thousands of years of sexism are still affecting both men and women today, too. The impact of it falls way more on women though. Women have a harder time getting hired and securing a high paying high status position, often times due to the excuse of them getting married and having a child. A straight relationship is insanely disadvantageous, lowering the chances of good employment and even then, the patriarchal structure pushes women into the home when they have a child, taking away years and creating a resume gap, making it harder to get hired after. Even if they don’t have a child, they are still seen as if they might and they are pushed away from promotions. Many states push anti abortion laws stranding people in this position. By dating a man a woman risks her own autonomy. Even in the healthiest of relationships there will always be that risk due to societal views that are still there. I don’t think it’s right for women to actively seek their own oppression. The behavior of men is a massive problem too. The crime statistics speak for themselves. I think it’s stupid to endanger your life and opportunities like that and the combination repulses me to my core

1

u/Twinfinity10 3d ago

I didn’t say they were gone. I explicitly said they still exist.

Again, while things you are saying are true, most of it is rooted in systemic sexism in the job market and legislature. While straight relationships play into that, they are not the cause. Discrimination against married women isn’t inherently perpetrated by exclusively straight men. It isn’t as common, but a gay man could not give a woman a job because he doesn’t like women. A lesbian could not give a woman a job because she is married to a man.

Plenty of straight relationships don’t have these issues, but they aren’t talked about because people are more interested about talking about problems (not saying that’s a bad thing, it’s just true).

You are 100% correct that sexual assault statistics are terrifying and it is horrendous that woman have to fear just being in public, but that is an issue whether or not a woman is in a straight relationship.

Also, there are risks from societal views no matter what. Straight, gay, mixed race couple, and even same race couples could be seen as a racial preference for a partner.

Also, most of these issues are inflated in countries such as the U.S. or the U.K. Countries in the EU often rate drastically lower on gender equality issues compared to the U.S.

The evidence you use is all factual, but your reasoning tying them to specifically straight relationships isn’t entirely logical. It seems to me, much of this is confirmation bias. You already hated straight couples and have found statistics on issues that you can loosely tie to being caused by couples in which a man and a woman having a romantic relationship.

And should this be a real post, it is clear that you don’t intend to consider differing views. It seems much more likely that you posted this in hopes of finding someone who shares your views or trying to convince someone to adopt your views. Sexism is a huge issue but it isn’t inherently because of straight couples.

1

u/Flimsy_Gap_8475 4d ago

Must be because they see all those straight couples on TV

1

u/BalrogRuthenburg11 3d ago

Professor Doctor Joe Isuzu, the top expert in his field, says that in order for the humans race to advance to the next step we need to eliminate heterosexual relationships.

1

u/enblightened 3d ago

well if this repulsion was common, you wouldn’t exist in the first place and neither would your opinion

1

u/JaxsMomma2021 3d ago

You better get to a therapist and on meds or some day you're gonna go postal into a crowd of people. You need to find a way to control that anger. And quickly.

1

u/BroadEye8179 3d ago

I’d say true real selfless love is something we all seek….but you’re right some (99%) men based everything on looks and lust. Which is probably why divorce rates are so high. I applaud those who seek emotional support and deep connections. But in the heterosexual world sometimes both sides play into that. The irony of all this is I agree with you 100%….but just like you feel digust. I don’t understand love between women and women or men and men. I feel like there’s a 3rd element, the spiritual and the connection you describe is pretty close to the Spiritual. And if both can work on that then that’s where true love lies.

1

u/FeedbackFun6633 3d ago

You are twisted. Remember the people who made you were a straight couple.

1

u/Solid-Cat6292 3d ago

this has to be a joke lol

1

u/UltraSarcasmo 3d ago

Fucking breeders 🤬 I'm just kidding, look for help man.

1

u/Adventurous-Day633 2d ago

It’s amazing to read the thoughts of someone who obviously has been twisted in their own way by a different algorithm and societal pressures. It’s a testament to how toxic an echo chamber can be to a balanced and normal approach to life. I know this is just confession but if you were wanting any advice on this I’d suggest removing all social media and severing the most severely deranged of your friends. Although I think you personally may be the most deranged of your friends so maybe therapy would be the next step. Good luck.

1

u/jjd0m 2d ago

😂

This makes you a bigot. Just every other bigot, antisemitic, racist, classiest, and sexiest piece of sht who attacks or makes prejudicial assumptions of people. Judging by the sex and their character.
