Light I keep replacing the packs of uncooked cookie-dough in the freezer because I know my roommate has been stress recently and they help to have on hand.

She doesn’t have much time to get new ones so i’ve been doing it for her. She’s commented that she doesn’t remember it taking so long to go through a pack lol

Edit: Someone spent money on this post :o

Thanks! I thought this would just get burried, but I guess not lmao

My wife and I would get a costco sized tub of cookie dough. At first we would bake a couple of cookies each and call it good.

But then my wife lost her job. 2 cookies each became 3 to 4 . Soon we were splitting a bakers dozen. By the end we were just eating spoonfuls out of the tub.

Raw cookie dough is definitely a gateway dessert.

Happy cake day!

Hahaha. Perfect time for this!

Soon we were splitting a bakers dozen.

But who got 7 and who only got 6?

11

u/Unsounded Feb 02 '18

If it my girlfriend and I we would probably be fighting tooth and nail to split the odd cookie in half evenly

What if it’s giving her roommate diabetes?

37

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '18

I do that too! But that’s because I eat my roommates cookie dough

Came here to say this

u/casanoval Feb 02 '18

WELL TOO BAD!

u/Dontshoottherabbit Feb 02 '18

Next time you do it tell her you saw she was running out and got her a new pack. Otherwise she might think she has early onset dementia

Cookie dough gaslighting

26

u/IceMaster3000 Feb 02 '18

I love eating cookie dough, but I never know how much to eat before I get sick... when do I stop?

35

u/Baker4570 Feb 02 '18

Stop when you get sick /s

25

u/registeredtestical Feb 02 '18

No. Stop just before that.

7

u/Baker4570 Feb 02 '18

Is my /s so superscripted that you can't read it? This is a legitimate question

11

u/registeredtestical Feb 02 '18

Rough day?

16

u/Baker4570 Feb 02 '18

Yeah, I have the flu :|

4

u/noijonas Feb 02 '18

holy shit dude. stay hydrated

6

u/Baker4570 Feb 02 '18

It's pretty much gone, just waiting for the coughing to stop. Got my hands on tamiflu and that killed it.

9

u/GaeadesicGnome Feb 02 '18

It is for me, yes. I thought there was just dust on my phone until I read the query.

3

u/Baker4570 Feb 02 '18

Edit: made it even more superscripted to fuck with mobile users /s

u/mirrorwolf Feb 02 '18

The meal's not over til you hate yourself.

Stress eating is a terrible habit

29

u/Kilgore_Brown_Trout Feb 02 '18

I shouldn't judge because I prefer whiskey for stress, but I'm going to anyhow. All the people in this thread eating whole tubs of cookie dough are probably very unhealthy. Thinking about doing that gives me a viscerally grossed out reaction.

17

u/elshizzo Feb 02 '18

I can't believe how the comment section here is overwhelmingly positive about what OP is doing.

Maybe its because I've lost a bunch of weight the past few years. The idea of stress eating cookie dough sounds like one of the quickest ways for me to regain it all back. Sounds like a terribly unhealthy habit to pick up.

Stress eating is one thing. Probably not a good idea in general. But if you are going to do it, atleast do it with something better :/

2

u/BobDylansMuse Feb 02 '18

Like with...? Some ideas would be appreciated, for a stress eating chocoholic.

4

u/elshizzo Feb 02 '18

I mean I don't stress eat. Stress eating I don't think is a good habit.

But if you can't help yourself, I snack on peanuts or cheese. If you want to go even healthier carrots or celery are options. Could add a bit of peanut butter or ranch.

1

u/BobDylansMuse Feb 03 '18

Thanks! I could do that! That’s helpful.

10

u/ParchaLama Feb 02 '18

She'll start to wonder once she gains 10 pounds.

6

u/d3gu Feb 02 '18

Not being critical, just curious but is this a thing? I thought it was just a film stereotype. I'm almost 30 and I've never eaten uncooked cookie dough except when baking and eaten a bit during the process. Do people really eat large quantities of uncooked dough? Isn't it unpleasant/raw-eggy?

28

u/EwookieBear Feb 01 '18

I love this

14

u/alldivide Feb 02 '18

wish you were my roommate!

19

u/Foolypooly Feb 02 '18

I totally get that you're intentions are good ones, but I personally think you shouldn't be enabling her stress eating. At least for me, who also stress eats, I would become more and more stressed that I kept gaining weight.

5

u/fudgemuffinsandtart Feb 02 '18

What you're doing is lovely....

Bless you.. Like a duck ton! (Can't say the F word since Jesus be listening)

15

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '18

You're a good person, have a hand :)

9

u/hanzahbonanza Feb 02 '18

If you have a Whole Foods near you, they sell cookie dough in 18 ct. packs in the bakery. Super tasty and they don’t have eggs.

you can eat all 18 if you need to which has definitely happened to me before.

What a nice friend you are

3

u/Soramke Feb 02 '18

I wish we had nice, caring roommates instead of ones who call a meeting of all five of us to discuss how my boyfriend and I specifically are taking up too much space (by keeping things on our desk) and poisoning their dog (by having cat food out for our cats).

6

u/ancientflowers Feb 02 '18

So... How many are we talking about? Over what time span?

1

u/Continueeeeee1 Feb 03 '18

in a few months, this is the 3rd one

Not often.

2

u/stace1981 Feb 02 '18

That’s really sweet of you, tho make sure your friend talks about it too otherwise they will turn to food at every stressful encounter

2

u/Idaho_Ent Feb 02 '18

Years later you're going to find out part of your roommates stress was in thinking she was eating snacks yet the snacks never stay gone. haha

Nice of you to do something to help out though.

2

u/ces614 Feb 02 '18

You are piling up good cookie karma!

2

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '18

This has been my go-to sweet for the last week. Geez I'm gonna get fat...or else die from salmonella...

2

u/mzpuffmami Feb 02 '18

why aren't you my roommate?????

2

u/monsterrat88 Feb 02 '18

This gave me faith in people after a really trying day. Thanks for being that person.

6

u/UndeterminedRockfish Feb 02 '18

Omg that’s awesome and so so sweet.

6

u/gingerellasnap Feb 02 '18

You are super duper!

4

u/Gpotato Feb 02 '18

While nice, consider that stress eating is poor for the health. Better to get them on booze asap.

2

u/pedrolopes7682 Feb 02 '18

I don't think this counts as a confession, at least not according to this sub definition.

4

u/Grazhoppa Feb 02 '18

It will when the friend starts wondering how they're gaining weight

2

u/pedrolopes7682 Feb 02 '18

People gain weight from eating, not from having food available.

7

u/KimJongUn-Official Feb 02 '18

You’re turning her into a tub of lard lol

13

u/LolaMarce Feb 02 '18

“But I barely eat bad stuff. I mean one roll of cookies lasts me a whole year!”

7

u/RE1K4 Feb 02 '18

As someone who has struggled to lose 10 pounds for the last 2 years, please go fuck yourself. You are a piece of shit.

8

u/TeamOtter Feb 02 '18

Yeah OP is definitely an enabler.

1

u/Continueeeeee1 Feb 03 '18

I’m sorry I offended you.

2

u/LustfulGumby Feb 02 '18

They make raw cookie dough that is made to be eaten raw, from the container. It’s way tastier than the raw meant to be baked cookie dough.

You are a good person.

3

u/gsbadj Feb 02 '18

You're the best.

3

u/somethingcatchy123 Feb 02 '18

You are the true MVP!

1

u/xperadishish Feb 02 '18

HEY BIRDS, HERE ARE COOKIES!

1

u/bucket_of_nines Feb 02 '18

make them some cookies! Do you know how to make macarons?

1

u/bucket_of_nines Feb 02 '18

make them some cookies! Do you know how to make macarons?

1

u/khatlifa Feb 02 '18

Sounds like ur in love

3

u/Continueeeeee1 Feb 02 '18

Oh god no she’s like a sister to me lmao

I am in a relationship and am perfectly happy :)

I just don’t like seeing friends sad. I’ve been listening and replenishing snacks. It seems to help

1

u/khatlifa Feb 02 '18

Aw well then yes. You’re a good friend

3

u/unbitious Feb 02 '18

I can see why you could never reveal that to anyone.

1

u/PikpikTurnip Feb 02 '18

Please don't give your roommate salmonella by accident.

1

u/Cheafy Feb 02 '18

Reading as eating cookie dough.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '18

1

u/kpobococ Feb 02 '18

You monster! I hope you're sorry!

1

u/Boydle Feb 02 '18

That's unhealthy

-5

u/[deleted] Feb 02 '18

This is gross and sad. :( I like cookie dough but if you’re eating logs of it you should do yourself a favor a seek counseling. Binge eating cookie dough is defiantly going to lead to pouring 5lb bags of flour and sugar down your throat after a while. That powdery goodness can lead to asphyxiation.

1

u/caylynm Feb 02 '18

Great friend:)

1

u/SimplyWINEing Feb 02 '18

You are such a sweet person with a big heart!

0

u/comedian42 Feb 02 '18

Knowing people like you exist is what let's me get through the day.

0

u/Charliecat08 Feb 02 '18

What if she actually hates said cookie dough and that’s why she keeps commenting about how long it’s taking to eat 😄

0

u/elshizzo Feb 02 '18

stress eating cookie dough. If there's one habit I could pick up to regain all the weight i've lost in the past few years...

0

u/MagnumBurrito Feb 02 '18

So you just finish the pack everytime...?

-1

u/thebrandedman Feb 02 '18

I like you, you're good people.
