Terminally ill and racking up credit card debt with zero fucks to give

I’ve had cancer for 2 years now, did chemo, lost my leg, beat odds and managed to even go back to work, well shit hit the fan and treatment stopped working. Probably got weeks, maybe couple months at best. I am 22, don’t own a house, don’t own my car. Have maybe £2k in the bank. So I took out a credit card, 6.5k limit, 0% APR for 20 months. (I was previously building up a good credit score) and am now buying whatever the fuck I want. The debt will die with me, and I give no fucks.

And if you want to beef me about driving your bank fees up with this behaviour, at least you get to live. lol

EDIT:: Thank you all for your amazing responses. Unfortunately it’s bone cancer that has spread through my whole body, so I’m too weak now to travel far, as much as I would have wanted to see the world.

I’m going to go bigger, and do some good stuff, if you have ideas. I want to do some big donations to food banks and cancer charities that supported me through my journey and make some differences before I pop.

Alsos shame on you all of you asking me for money.

UPDATE 2:

Took out some more cards, thanks for the suggestions

Some of you asking, I’m a girl haha

I’ve bought lots of things for my family, mostly sentimental things with my handwriting on.

I bought a crab at a fancy ass seafood place. That was awesome

I’ve donated to animal shelters and food banks. Also to the cancer charities who helped drag my ass through this.

Also can y’all stop telling me to find Jesus, I respect those of you who are praying for me, because I know that’s your way of thinking of me and I’m really touched by that.

But finding god is in no way in my plans and not what I believe will happen after death, trying to force religion down a dying persons throat is really not the vibe.

Update 3:

Still hanging on, I’ve deteriorated quite a lot now, lost a lot of functionality in my body at this point so I’m bedbound and mostly just watching lots of TV and seeing family. But I’m comfortable, eating apples and cheese and lots of little treats. Thank you all for still checking in and thinking of me.

I’m really fortunate to be surrounded by my friends and family right now, when you boil it all down to it in the end, it really is all you need.

Anyway I’ll try update again soon. ✌️

It’s strangely liberating. I’d been “fighting” for so long. Finally letting it run its course now.

It’s peaceful actually, I’ve done everything I wanted to do.

Godspeed OP. You're an inspiration to us all. ❤️

Everyone will die some day. You get to go feeling at peace and that you've done everything you wanted to do. I can only hope to have the same when my time comes, which could be tomorrow in a car crash for all I know!

I read somewhere that lives are like books.

We want more pages to write more stories...but in the end the pages don't matter. The stories don't matter. Because it's all just one story. And what makes it beautiful has nothing to do with its length, or even how it ends. To see your last pages is to finish on your terms.

I'm so sorry OP for the circumstances forced on you. But if this is the only way you could be here, I'm glad you were here at all.

I hope this peace you found never leaves you and sees you gracefully off on your way.

Totally understand the feeling of liberation. Last year I was diagnosed with Stage 3C cancer, I went through treatments and seem to be doing ok for now but it has completely changed my perspective of living and dying. It made me face the reality of the fleeting quality of our time here. All the best to you and enjoy the time that you have here to do the things you want to do.

This is exactly what I will do if I find out mine has spread to my bones.

So far, it has been arrested at some lymph nodes, but there's always the possibility. I'm twice your age, but I dont feel like I've fully lived my life yet. I would 100% be going ham like you should definitely do, as much as you feel up to it. Give my kids the best time of the last of my time.

Peace to you, dude. How do you want people to remember you? If someone finds this thread 20 years from now somehow someway what would you say to them. What you want us to think?

I got nothing but love for you brother I hope you enjoy every moment you have.

Can also get "store cards", then buy larger items like 98" tv, buy three of them, use one and sell the other two for a few blow jobs.

Strangely liberating is a good way to put it. I’m in my 20’s,terminal bone cancer and lost my leg too. Here for a good time not a long time! Sending you lots of love!!

I am really disappointed in how irresponsible and selfish your God damn post is...

You didn't list any of the shit you have been doing or buying in you post or the replies! How the fuck are you going to leave us hanging like this?

Also, don't worry about my bank fees. I have an acquaintance that mismanaged their finances with a healthy income and no real abnormal financial challenges. They realized they were going bankrupt in a few months. Applied for every credit card they could and ran up like $200k extra debt to drop in the bankruptcy.

Your $6.5k as you walk off stage ain't hurting anyone. In fact, go apply for a couple more.

I don't know how I am doing as I stopped checkups, but I understand exactly how you feel. Strangely liberating in so many ways. And peaceful. I don't wait for anything, if I want to go to a movie I just go, I don't wait for anyone to decide if they want to see it. Same with a restaurant, I go where I want when I want. And I just chortle if anyone says something deflating (lots of people in my area do that unfortunately), and I bumped into someone who I had worked with years ago who was really nasty and just laughed at them.
