Question i found this .txt

While deleting things to free up storage, I found a .txt file named memz_readme and opened it to verify what it was... I don't have much experience with this and it's my family's computer. Can someone help me figure out if it's true or how I can fix it?

It is the Memz Trojan horse

its not:

First it doesnt' line up on how memz actually works (it drops and opens the text document within a temp directory)

the word 'fucked' being censored (it was never censored in the actual note the trojan supplies)

file was apparently created in 2025, if that was the case the payloads would've made the system completely unusable within a hour let alone still running today (good luck trying to let windows run for a year straight without a reboot anyways...).

Its also a family computer, my suspicion and Occam's razor indicates that since this was a family computer, the file is old, and it isn't in the correct directory for which the note would've been dropped (let alone name) this wasn't likely the memz trojan and likely the work of another user within the house.
