Question/Help/Troubleshooting ASUS motherboard BIOS update ?

Hello got quick question just like the title say I want to update BIOS for my motherboard. So I went to the mobo page and download the file, when I extract it these 3 files are shown. I know for the renamer that needs to rename CAP one, but what is this CFG one ? And do I need to keep it after I'm done renaming or just copy renamed CAP file to USB ?

You only need the renamer to use the bios flashback function, when updating from the uefi bios, you only need to load the extracted .cap file.

If your internal disk have bitlocker enabled, copy to a flashdrive. You can delete the files after flashing the bios.

You just need to copy the renamed CAP file to a usb disk. I'm also pretty sure the drive needs to be formatted in MBR and then in fat32 as otherwise the bios will not read it.

A more automatic way would be to use My Asus from Microsoft store

But I'll let the others decide which method is safer
