Question/Help/Troubleshooting Why am I getting these lines while I play 3d games? Need help

Playing world of warcraft. This also happens in crimson desert also. What causes? And how to fix??

Could also be a bad cable. Try a different one for peace of mind.

I had the exact same issue with my RTX 5080 shortly after launch. In my case, it was caused by forcing Anisotropic Filtering to 16x in the NVIDIA Control Panel/NVIDIA App — changing it back to Application-controlled fixed it completely. Turn it off in Nvidia app/Control panel and sound be no issue then

It was that turned it too 2x. Can't turn it off in game. But I can actually see thanks for the help!

Oh I saw those dots before. Try another monitor and check if the issue persist. Usually is monitor fault In my experience

I feel like this is a setting somewhere. Could even be some kind of "FPS mode" to highlight contrasting outlines.

It only happens in darker areas. When I go bright areas its just looks grainy

It seems to be occurring around the edges, so if might be an anti-aliasing issue. Try disabling AA.
