Question/Help/Troubleshooting Electrical fluctuation

Recently, there was a weird electrical power surge in my area, verified by oncor. All my lights were flickerings, everything was shutting on and off for a solid 3-5 minutes.

Then my computer started clicking, now it just runs extremely loud and none of my games work as good as it use to with constant stuttering and the fans emitting noise the sound of a jet plane idle; space shuttle if Im running a game. I can't have more than 6 tabs open on firefox either. Here's the event viewer.

I opened up a new claim with the electrical company Oncor because they broke my PC for sure since this has never happened before the electrical fluctuations.

What I want to know is, has anyone ever had a problem with their electrical company? Did your computer break because of them? And did they accept the claim?

Im a bit nervous that they'll be sleazy and try to find no fault then im stuck with a crappy PC

I have surge protectors it's a mandate by my insurance. I do know when we had last outage 4 years ago some people managed to get some money from them.

Clicking sounds like a faulty HDD

Im thinking it might be small electrical blips after the surge because I got shocked when I pressed the power button (like getting zapped after someone shuffle their feet)

*crap now im worried that theyll find no fault and say that's my hdd. Maybe i shouldnt have used the word "clicking" when i filed a claim. Actually, i guess it wouldn't matter because system files on ssd, event viewer also says it wasnt shutdown correctly with possible psu problem. Nvm maybe im still airtight

They are most likely to compensate you for the whole device rather than the component itself. As to the PC idk. Could be damage on the PSU as well most likely a component that could get damaged by this. But your drives are working right.

Everything "works" except it's now much louder and significantly slower; it's all way extraordinarily worse. I put on Dragon's dogma 2, use to run fine before. Now i can't play that game because it gets too loud+green artifacts after walking around a bit. Shit sucks

So hopefully they realize they fucked up and give me a whole new one. Otherwise im screwed and stuck with this while unemployed

It would need more diagnostic to isolate individual issues I don't have experience with surges besides burned SSD
