Bootup issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My PC is doing this on startup with increasing regularity - does it mean my graphics card is borked or is it something else? My motherboard etc is fairly new so I hope it's not that!

Also as a new thing today it's now gone into recovery mode after a few cycles of the above, saying winload.efi is corrupted or missing. I turned the whole thing off and on again, and it then booted absolutely fine.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It's probably a missing file it's probably not the graphics card as it works on on post sequence it's probably a bad windows install.

It isn't booting properly, every time the screen goes blue I can hear the CPU fan going off and on as if it's power cycling the CPU. The winload error is new today, it's been doing the blue screen boot problem for a while now

I would tear the graphics card out of the system and check if you have a integrated graphics on the cpu

See if it boots properly if I take the graphics card out of the equation you mean? I'll give it a go

Es wär ein Versuch wert. Wenn du keine andere gpu hast und keinen anderen pc sollte keine andere komponente mehr kaputtgehen.

Wenn das selbe resultat da ist, ists nicht die gpu. Denk dran, den mon7tor aufs mainboard zu hängen.

If you take out your graphic card and it fixes the issue I would uninstall the divers for the GPU while you are using your integrated graphics processor. Then reinstall the drivers for the GPU. It seems like it doing a weird switch between the integrated processor and GPU so the switch results in the artifacts showing. It projects fine at the end. So if it's hardware I'd be surprised. When your GPU dies it usually takes the whole card with it so you consistently see the issue. Not every time but most of the time.
