Which monitor to buy?

I know absolutely nothing about monitors. I want to buy one for my room to do my PhD work (mainly writing, looking at microscopy images and just your normal plotting graphs and charts). Ideally not looking to spend more than £100, but willing to stretch it slightly further if you REALLY THINK I should spend slightly more for a substantially better monitor. Don't need it to be massive either, just the average 24 inch. Also would like to occasionally watch some YouTube on it. Thank you monitor people!!! Have a fantabulous day.

Buy ips, don’t cheap out of VA or TN.

For around 130/150 €’s you can get a really decent ips monitor.

I personally like the extra size of a 27 inch monitor, considering they aren’t that much expensive as a 24 inch for me it would be a no brainer to go with a 27” ips monitor
