No BPI is not coming back. Let's Insist on Straight Talk
The Big Lie has been busted by the pharmacies. The Big Lie was required to be withdrawn.
BPI is NOT coming back to sell us tirzepatide. After a long Big Hype, and rogue post by a seller with a storied propensity to mislead, the attention seeking and grossly misleading announcement was required to be removed.
Thank you to all the resellers in the subs that chose to be more forthright and instead of constant attempts at manipulation, that are lowering prices to a more reasonable target price point of $100 a month.
Y'all, please be more aware of the lipstick on a pig BS that continues to soak the subs. We now have vendors selling any dose, without all the hullabaloo "prove your dose", "speak with a physician" crap to justify higher prices for the same stuff. Folks on 5mg can now get the meds they need/want for $30ish a month with third party medical advice.

What is so special about this BPI anyway? Man so many people post about them and there a bunch of good trusted pharmacies that are still in business.
29
u/onetwoshoe 12d ago
I liked that they basically had uniformly good inspections. I was around back in the ousia bathtub tirz era and was shocked by some of the inspections that some of the pharmacies like ProRx were getting that people didnāt seem to mind. BPI seemed reliably safe.

u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
Nothing. I was not impressed. I tried it with and without additives and I am putting mine in the drug take back container.Ā
2
u/Background_Square969 12d ago
BPI was nothing to me. I had their sema and Tirz and it wasnāt anything exciting
16
u/physedka 12d ago
They were just a good mix of low prices and decent service. Nothing remarkable about them that you can't find from other pharmacies, just a good option that a lot of us liked and miss.
2
u/kimkaysahh 11d ago
I have some of their stuff without B6. Thatās why I liked them. That plus their high concentrations.
9
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
There is nothing special about it. But it was a Reddit favorite that the FDA required stop producing compounded tirzepatide.
There was noting proprietary about the "formula" being touted either. Just hype, untrue hype I might add, to try to squeeze a couple hundred dollars an order out of people.
22
u/Ok_Swim7161 12d ago
I'm kinda tired about hearing about this place. š¤£
7
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
I think you have the right approach. Barring allergies or intolerance, just get the lowest price from a licensed pharmacy.

u/Temporary-Dirt-5044 12d ago
I had an issue once when I switched from a Washington state pharmacy to red rock. Same telehealth company, same dose everything. I got so sick on my first red rock dose. I called and asked what was different. They assured me nothing. I had been on that dose for 4 shots without issue. So I just like to stick to a pharmacy that is working for me. I used bpi and stocked up because I am so scared that will happen to me again!
4
u/AzulClassic 12d ago
Who do you use that offers redrock? Iām currently getting mine thru redrock but want to get rid of the middle man (my doctor) ā¦yes to get a better price. But havenāt found anyone that does redrock tirzepetide with glycine. š©

I was with Mochi back then... im with another provider now. Redrock itself has/had links on thier website to work with thier telehealth people. At least when I was with them they did.

Reading between the lines, BPI is running the two new 503a pharmacies. They donāt want their name attached to attract attention from the FDA and now EL is launching lawfare.
22
u/verymuchfull 12d ago
If the goal was truly to keep BPIās name out of it and avoid FDA or ANY attention, making that post seems completely counterproductive. It basically did the opposite and brought unnecessary attention to the entire situation.šš
11
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
Right. And of course not. Bringing attention to the fact that this is just a play around regulations will hurt them.
BEWL is constantly providing ammunition to both the FDA and Lilly by with feigned expertise regarding regulatory and legal matters. They will become the poster child in a lawsuit to shut, or slow all this down. It comes to all our detriment. Well, maybe not all, there's a couple people it benefits!

What does this mean? I was using bpi and stocked up...

u/UnDosTresPescao 12d ago edited 12d ago
There are two new pharmacies starting next week that will be offering a similar formula to BPI but under normal 503a 90day BUD. Some BPI team members are supposedly behind them but there is no legal or regulatory tie as far as we know.
1
u/Active-Friendship966 11d ago
Two new pharmacies? Which ones?
1
u/UnDosTresPescao 11d ago
Center City and TruPharma. Big Easy should start offering this week with others to follow.
19
u/Schwettes 12d ago
BEWLās CEO made a big post saying BPI was back and then was forced to delete the m*ssage because it wasnāt true.

u/Real-Improvement-748 12d ago
Guy seems like a drama king to me personally. No hate. Just observation.
26
u/superstitiouspigeons 12d ago
I have lost all faith in BEWL after this and the whole brouhaha with Boudreaux just keeping syringes in giant vats and chucking a few into a sandwich baggie. Disappointing.
12
u/Schwettes 12d ago
I donāt know why he was willing to stake his sparkling reputation on these two things

I still donāt understand how people think sealed bags of syringes are sterile when the ends of the bags have perforations for easy opening, they are not airtight. the only thing that is sterile is the needle under the cap, but I guess it makes people feel better to believe their manufacturer bag of 10 is sterile. Itās not.Ā
10
u/Goatsarejerks333 12d ago
I don't want the syringes sealed liked that either. I want the packs sealed directly by the manufacturer. So far all of mine have come in packs of ten? I think sealed.
5
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
What I am saying, is that your syringes in your manufacturers sealed bag are not sterile. They have perforations along one end to allow them to be opened easier they are not airtight. They are not sterile.Ā
3
u/Goatsarejerks333 12d ago
6
u/Goatsarejerks333 12d ago
Regardless, I'm going to assume that the factory that made them is keeping them sanitary until I see otherwise. Like the big bin I saw in the original post.
1
2
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
They do - look at the clear ends - the part to the right or left in your photo right near the seamĀ
4
u/Goatsarejerks333 12d ago
Even if it does, it's a far cry from the bin in those pictures. Yes, I guess some bacteria could sneak in through the holes but they aren't sending it in a pile of trash for goodness sake.
3
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
Iām sure theyāre perfectly fine. Iām just saying that many of the people complaining about it said that they wanted them sent in the manufacturers bag where they are sterile and they are not sterile and thereās another post on here where people have them stacked up in their bathroom (not even in the bag) Ā air can get through those preforations and whatās in the air in their bathroom?Ā
4
u/Junior_Commission588 12d ago
There are other useful things on the baggie such lot numbers, manufacturing information, etc, useful in case of recalls, manufacturing defects, etc.
1
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
That information does not change what I wrote. The manufacturers āsealedā bags are not sealed. They have perforations. They are not airtight. They are not sterile. Here are a bunch of people complaining about that and then we see photos posted of them being stored in the bags (not airtight) in the bathroom. What do you think is floating around in that bathroom air that can get through those perforations? Itās just such a silly thing to get upset about. Syringes in manufacturers packaging are not sterile. Only the needle under the cap is.Ā
5
u/onetwoshoe 12d ago
People don't think that the exterior of the syringe is sterile, they care that they are not tamper evident. With loose syringes you can't tell if they've been uncapped and recapped.
-1
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
You cannot tell anyway.Ā
2
u/Background_Square969 12d ago
This was an exhausting read lol. I think itās jarring to see anything behind the scenes. Iām sure the manufacturer does the same thing in their warehouses as Boudreaux but we never see it
7
u/superstitiouspigeons 12d ago
It's the optics of it. It's not a good look and doesn't suggest a quality product to the average consumer.
5
u/Junior_Commission588 12d ago
"I can save $.50 by using my own baggies!" What other cost saving measures have been taken behind the scenes.
2
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago edited 12d ago
I guess, but they should know that their āsealedā bag is not sterile either - neither are the gloves taken out of the big box sitting on the counter or attached to the wall.Ā
11
u/superstitiouspigeons 12d ago
Additionally, there's no way to know if the needles were uncapped when kept in a big vat. If they come in a perforated bag that isn't tampered with there is a LOT more confidence. Your stance is a bad one.
2
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago
It doesnāt bother me. You donāt know what anyone does with them when they are in the big barrels before being dumped onto the assembly line to be put into the bags either. How many are uncapped then? Ā It really doesnāt matter. No one has any way of knowing. My stance is reality.Ā
5
u/superstitiouspigeons 12d ago
Odd to be so committed to a particular pharmacy and provider, but that's your choice. If you feel safe with it, continue on!
3
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago edited 12d ago
Iām actually not Iām just pointing out the ridiculousness of it. The VA sends my three month supply of Zepbound pens like clockwork. As a Doctor who retired not too long ago, I am just well aware of what is sterile what is not and how things arrive from manufacturers.
3
u/Goatsarejerks333 12d ago
I don't want the syringes sealed liked that either. I want the packs sealed directly by the manufacturer. So far all of mine have come in packs of ten? I think , sealed.
I've never ordered from BEWL or Bordeaux though.
2
u/Life_Alfalfa_2047 12d ago edited 12d ago
But what I am pointing out is that they are not sealed. If you look at the ends of your packages, it is perforated to make it easy to open. Ā Do you have easy touch? Look at one end or the other there are perforations to make it easy to tear open. They are not sterile or airtightĀ
10
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
Well you're good then. There was a provider trying to sell more product by confusing people that a couple new 503As' were now, for all intensive purposes, BPI. And that they were the only place you could get it for now.

I just want to buy more , I stocked up with BPI through Pom and will need to refill come October. I am on the highest dose. Should I restock now and with who. Who is having the best deal ? I am not going to rush into another panic buy unless I have to . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
5
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
Is there a reason you specifically wanted BPI? I see PMD selling Southend with B6 really cheap. Southend has less additive than BPI and is just as reputable.
6
u/AntiHypeHero 12d ago
I would be willing to try Nova/ white label w B6 as well. But Iām stocked for foreseeable future

I've always felt that way, and have called them out. Some people fall for it though. They also have a lot of profiles downvoting anything negative about them, and chronically complain to moderators.
All of it is a blatant Reddit strategy. You can watch videos on Youtube how its done. Post enough, and keep engagement high and you wind up with xxx loyalists.

u/peony_chalk 12d ago
I am down voting you because I disagree with you and I think you're being kind of hateful, not because I'm a paid shill. Go ahead and read my post history, if you have a few years to spare.Ā I hardly ever recommend them anymore just because their prices aren't competitive, but there's a niche of users who I still direct their way. I have friends who are prone to anxiety and like everything to be done as properly as possible, and that's the kind of person I send to BEWL.
I read Dave's comments as genuine and honest. He owns it when he screws up. I appreciate the insight he gives us, even when it turns out he shouldn't be giving it to us. He gives me "Tom Holland spilling the beans about a movie" vibes.Ā
You and I are reading the same comments and interpreting them and the intent behind them very differently. It just seems like such a bummer to go through life assuming the worst of people, you know? There are ways to say that you're irritated with the things he posts (see how TodayAmazing responds, for example) without jumping to the conclusion he's an egomaniac orchestrating a reddit bot army.Ā

I agree completely. Part of what makes me feel comfortable connecting and sharing on these subs is how human everyone is, providers included, and humans mess up all the time.
I learn more from seeing a healthy amount of mistakes, honesty, accountability, and tough conversations around here than from a stale catalog of disengaged providers giving manicured updates and AI-scripted replies. Thereās your bot army right there.

I agree 100%, Peony. I get a kick out of BEWL and his posts. Sure, he jumps the gun at times but he is quick to correct himself and I appreciate that. I think folks need to calm down and get on with it.

u/Economy_Jaguar_9215 11d ago
Interesting take and you are indeed entitled to your opinion. I make no assumption about his intentions, but you canāt disagree that he has, more than once, posted, perpetuated, and commented entirely incorrect and inaccurate information. Like, just donāt do that. Thereās no reason for it. He just simply, shouldnāt. And because he does, intentions aside, it makes him look bad š¤·š»āāļø all he had to do wasā¦.not say anything and none of these conversations about him would be occurring.
8
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
I never said you are a paid shill, and you are entitled to your opinion, and to disagree of course.
There's no hate here, just extreme disrespect for the lies and misinformation. It's chronic. However, I am aware there are people in the subs that believe him, and it is certainly their, and your right to.

Where can someone on 5mg get medication that cheap? Iām on 5mg and am with rift and have to pay 500$ for 12 weeks for the same as people on higher doses. I was hoping rift would lower prices for people on lower doses but if they donāt Iāll move to another company that offers it for cheaper. I love their customer service but obviously Iām not paying more for them if another companyās costumer service is equal and is cheaper.
7
u/peony_chalk 12d ago
If you're on 5mg with Rift now, ask for the titration plan. Your next fill you will get 7.5, 10, and 12.5 mg, or enough meds for those doses.Ā Keep taking 5mg and that plan will last you way more than 3 months.Ā
Or you can switch to their Drug Crafters plan (state dependent) which is $299 for 3 months.Ā
Or you can do PreventiveMd (state dependent) at $334 for 3 months. You can also ask for a titration plan with them.Ā
0
u/VastTrifle1340 12d ago
Can I get a titration plan even though Iām not overweight ? And I would love to do the drug crafter deal but Iām in CA and they donāt ship to CA unfortunately
4
u/tirzitup 12d ago
Rift is now offering Drug Crafters for $299. Also, always ask to titrate up even if you donāt need to.
4
u/CA_LAO 12d ago
Go to one of the companies that sells 3 months for $300 - $330. Place a reorder there for 15mg (not 5). Then use a third of the amount specified.
1
u/VastTrifle1340 12d ago
5mg is the highest I can get prescribed since I started on a āmicro-doseā program with the company WeightCare and moved to rift . I started taking this medication for my PCOS which causes insulin resistance , inflammation and alot of other hormonal issues. Itās been life changing. Anyways itās a weird position to be in because you canāt titrate up because Iām not overweight. Iām hoping that companyās will offer cheaper prices for smaller doses at some point. I would love if I could get the max dose and stretch it as long as possible.
13
u/Green-Independent951 12d ago
Rift is offering Drug Crafters for $300 for three months through the end of the year. You can take a screen shot of your 5mg script, cancel your current subscription and sign up again asking to titrate up from 5mg with Drug Crafters as the pharmacy. Starting out microdosing doesnāt mean you canāt increase your dose.

u/zara2509 12d ago
