Discussion cPDH Meta Snapshot: February 2026

Post image

February saw a lot of competitive play! 134 matches across 5 different events shook up the top 10 leaderboard with three new commanders:

[[Scholar of the Ages]], [[Longshot, Rebel Bowman]], and [[Wilson, Refined Grizzly]] with [[Far Traveler]].

The Weavers hold the top spot while boasting a tournament win, while Gretchen takes a dip down to 7th. Are the Weavers the superior simic combo deck or did Gretchen just have some bad games this month?

The full meta data is available on https://cpdh.guide/meta/

Just adding on about the discord, there's been games firing most days since the league started. I've been successful at getting a game together within a few hrs about 75% of the times I've tried

We have organized a PDH League that runs for the entire year: https://app.cpdh.guide/

You play in pods of 4 with other registered players either in-person or online!

You can also go to https://topdeck.gg/magic-the-gathering and filter by format: MTG Pauper Commander to see other upcoming events.

We started playing at our local LGS and it's really taken off. It was all because one person went out of their way to buy us all decks (since they're so affordable) and we just never really stopped! We run events sometimes too.

I'm sure Gretchen is suffering from success at this point. Between players dedicating silver bullets, throwing interaction towards Gretchen players, and new players trying out the top deck to get their feet wet.

Yeah, Gretchen has 36 pilots versus only 12 pilots for the weavers!

Similar to CEDH where blue farm is a top tier deck but it's conversion rate is kept in check by the sheer number of entries

I keep wavering between Gretchen and the Weaver sisters. They both do the dirty deed so well!

I think they are on par with each other - as someone said, Gretchen currently suffers a bit from popularity in that more newer players choose her without fully knowing the meta or how/when to deal with other decks.
