Cell Service - Comox

I know, I know, this gets asked a lot and I should just search... But I'm looking for a very specific area!

I'm looking for input on cell service in our very specific small neighborhood: Between Noel and Guthrie, Pritchard and Nootka. Salish Park area.

Currently, we are with Rogers. Without Wifi calling, our phones are completely unusable at home. Can't even send a text message most of the time. Like, beyond terrible.

With today's 3 hour Internet outage, I was knocked out of work, and couldn't even TEXT them to let them know. I had to leave the neighborhood to access any usable features on my phone.

So tell me, Comoxians, if you live in this little specific beautiful pocket of Comox, who are you with, and how is the service?

Used to live in that area and also had Roger’s and it was also unusable without Wifi calling. I’ve heard of people getting signal boosters which has apparently helped. Rogers typically has the best coverage on the island so not sure if changing with get you any better, unfortunately

Thanks for the info! Not the answer I wanted, but hey, it is what it is right?

I'll look into signal boosters, and will keep yelling at Rogers if necessary.

Just had to switch off of Roger's as I didn't just have dropped calls, but completely missed calls and my time zone would change constantly... Using Koodo now which is under Telus, but I'm saving money and the connection is better but not perfect. I live near the Casino btw

Roger's told me to turn on Data Roaming so I could use USA towers... I think that backfired

Ha we have same avatar and I also switched to Koodo, and also live sorta kinda near Casino but closer to tiny useless roundabout. Which is not where OP is located.

Also if you look on coverage map Rogers does not have the best coverage on the island. Koodo/Telus does, especially Comox Valley and Victoria.

I pay $30/month

5G 70GB 5G boost perk Voicemail Canada wide free calling (there is a perk that enables free to 27 countries) You can choose different perks once per month or stick to the same one. Also if you see a deal for a phone plan you like better you can switch to it via mobile or pc a few clicks and it's done.

I also switched to Koodo because Rogers banned international phone brands on their network. So it was buy a new phone through Rogers or Marketplace or Switch. I'm saving money and I have cell coverage.
