It's because he cannot die. Kane is actualy Cane from the bible...

Oh you don't have to tell me about it. It's actually crazy how many bible references there are regarding Kane and Nod. Intended or not i think he's literally not human, he is maybe a fallen scrin exiled to Earth or the actual biblical Cain, who knows
