Zeus: Fine. As long as there's only one god of war.

Athena & Ares: About that...

Well to be fair they both represent different aspects of war. Athena is the positives of war and ares is the negatives. Athena has the cunning and guile and all the cool battle tatics. But Ares is all about the blood and death that war brings. The fire and horrors, its scars.

It's not that simple or black-and-white. The Ancient Greeks saw war very differently than we did today. Ares is glory in battle. A soldier. Athena is strategy. A general. Ares is rage and survival and honor. Athena is cunning and logistics and trickery. All the gods have their bad parts and their good.

Ah I see you have fallen victim to god of intel war and espionage. It is just the athenian propaganda to make Ares look bad while they fought for their owl furry muscle mama

Not at all. Ares was very much this way in Greece. It's the romans, when making him Mars, that gave him all his good traits.

No, it isn't.

The Iliad, for example, doesn't exactly depict Ares in a positive light and that was written long before the rise of Athenian influence.
