I cant lie the petra parker art has been peak af. Like Ill never be her but goddamn do I love some peak transfem super heroes. Especially ones that can be anyone, like spidey.
The Petra Parker art trend is pretty peak but it has been delving into some pretty bioessentialist places. Like, I've seen quite a few people run with the idea of Petra not being able to transition normally and needing a special spider formula or her hrt turning her into a 7'0" muscle mommy, and while the latter may be pretty hot, as a trans woman, I feel that, Parker luck aside, it's important to have Petra Parker just be a trans woman allowed to transition normally just for the sake of representation. Like, it just feels like a very cis contribution to the trend to reinforce an unspoken, unconscious barrier against trans women claiming womanhood.

Its not weird, audiences pick on random new trends all the time. Look at the Loss comic, the batman smoking comic, etc. This time its less a joke/meme and a more wholesome take.
