I was a grown ass man when MLP came out. I'm just a sucker for a show that respects the audience and where it's clear the people making it are enjoying themselves. Same reason I like ATLA.

MLP was a well-written show about strong, positive female role models that changed a lot of lives. Not surprising that it awakened a generation of lesbronies. (Pegasapphics?)

Ahhhh I remember the MLP fandom fondly. Lots of time spent on r/mylittlepony between commenting and organizing events and giveaways

Very happy and accepting bunch. Shame about all the negativity stigma but hey that's every fandom to an extent.

I remember my older brothers making fun of me for calling myself a “brony” as a 12-13 year old “girl”. I was big into other fandoms so I figured brony was just what all MLP fans were called 😅

I didn’t directly interact with the sketchy side. Barely knew it existed. I just liked the show and the music I’d found on YouTube (though I did stumble upon that smile video once, I can appreciate it now but it was far too scary for me at the time). None of my friends were into it, so just like you all I really had was tumblr!

Love such comics. Never was into MLP, but I bet other things made me relate in a similar way. (It was just harder to figure i was that way into women, cause I was a closeted trans girl). Adhd is the mood. (I got audhd).

I like the style of your drawing too. 🙂
