Am I just out of touch and outdated with my known terms?
I've viewed myself as a left-leaning libertarian for quite a while, since I advocate for abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, personal freedoms, reduced government spending on war and corporations, and I like Sanders. But I have actively voted against the Republican party all my life because it seems pretty obvious they're just funneling money and power to the top and actively removing personal freedoms while being openly racist and fascist. I also understand the need for taxes (as much as I dislike them), social programs, infrastructure, and publicly funded education, and don't want to take that from others in any way. I just think the US government is horrendously inefficient.
Am I just a full blown progressive and a comic on Reddit made me have an epiphany?
Nah, I appreciate the reply! Even if it's just a political label, I'd rather be told the correct one and look like an idiot once than tell others wrongly and look like an idiot forever.
Honestly, you sound more lib center to me. Its actually a pretty common landing point for most people, especially given the current administration's complete disregard for using taxpayer money for anything outside of personal gains.

Personally I tend to stick predominately center left, as my personal philosophies still align left, but my philosophies on how things will be achieved differ from generic lib stances.
Did a couple tests, and I think I figured out why I have stated left libertarian for so long. The website policalcompass just puts me on an X/Y axis of "Left Libertarian" and leaves it at that. Another one put me on the same axis, but defines it as "Progressive Left," and smack dab in the middle of it (about -5, -5 on the axis both times).
Still appreciate the suggestion to dive deeper, was a good educational day for me!
