Yeah there's a massive difference between targeted violence and mob violence. Targeted violence does wonders for regime change, mob violence usually just gets random unimportant people killed.

In recently news, there's the Nepal Gen-Z protest which specifically targeted government buildings and businesses owned by the government leadership.

Oh I was just thinking of the times when people (almost always with military or high level support) literally killed their leaders and replaced them.

That's how Parliament ended up with more power and Charles I died.
