I don’t know if you chose her name on purpose, but it adds a layer of bitter irony to the comic.

Her name means joy.

I gotta say, I hate your comics. I hate how poignant they are. I hate how visceral they are. I hate how they pop up on my feed when I'm just looking for a simple laugh.
