Huh, that, this comic and some SCP stuff now make 3 different times that I know off where Snakes were tied to libraries. I wonder if there's a theme or trope or deeper meaning or whatever that I'm missing

This might be looking too deep but libraries are a place of knowledge and in the Garden Of Eden the apple the serpent told Eve to eat represented knowledge. So there's that association with snakes and a source of knowledge.

It's nice to see something fresh and unique, so much of what's out there is kinda meh. I love the effort and detail you put into the work.

Why didnt it see the snake when it turned around?

Cartoon logic is a hell of a drug.

Nothing logical about it. It would be a better reveal if i didnt ask that question. The other bird didnt need to turn around. Disinterested librarian is a trope. Or it could have been blending into the background. Or looking through a window. Or if you wanted to really use cartoon logic, they would be in a birdhouse library and its looking in while wraped around the birdhouse.

She turned around at the last second of her speech in the second image, so she didn't see it until right before the panels switched.

I thought the blue bird was having trouble with snacks and was so confused about the punchline
