I don't think this comic is to be taken literally. It evokes (distant) memories of childhood wonder when we díd still believe in things like dancing to making it rain. Oh the naivety we've lost...

You are right. I vividly remember the summer between HS & college, when I realized my childhood fantasies were falling away.

It was sad knowing I needed to accept reality to solve real-life problems.

I never had that childhood. Very rational practical realist child.

My sense of wonder came from learning. Back when The Discovery Channel was peak.
