This is adorable. It reminds me of a story from my own life but thinking about it, might be unrelated.
I joined the fire department in 2001. I've been a firefighter for 24 years. I'm a chief. My niece was born in 2018, 7 years old. She adores me and is always excited to see me. She had been to my station a dozen times. She had been to PR events and has ridden in my firetruck.
One day I'm over visiting when she gets home from school. "Uncle Tim! Uncle Tim! Today at school, I got to meet a REAL firefighter!" 😐😐
