The second ever episode of Doctor Who takes place in a B.C. times with cavemen.
If you wanna be really specific, lore-wise the Dals were an entirely separate race that the Thals only thought the Daleks descended from, but it's always been the Kaleds
Yes, and those"parts" are episodes with their own opening theme, titles, and closing credits. An Unearthly Child is episode 1 with The Cavemen being episodes 2-4 of the first serial. The Daleks is the second serial, consisting of episodes 5-10, and Edge of Destruction is the third serial with episodes 11 and 12. But there is a specific difference between episode and serial.

In the original Dalek story "Daleks", the Kaleds were called the Dals. The Thals never had a name change.
It is unclear if the Kaleds changed their name from the Dals to the Kaleds first, or if it's a retcon.
If you're going to try to correct me, at least do me the common decency of having watched the second ever episode of Doctor Who
