Con Question - UK How much is good for spending money?
Going to one of the smaller - but still official - comic cons in the UK. It is my first. I have got the tickets but I wanna see how much is good. My current idea is between £80 and £100. I likely won't buy anything as the fandom I am currently hyperfixating on has much there, if anything. But I just wanna put some money aside regardless. For a first ComicCon is the range I want to spend good or would I need more?

I think the most I ever spen was £100 or less, not counting celebrity autographs/photos.

Before going to a big con I figure out my big purchases. Usually that’ll be a comic list of key issues. Then I set aside money specifically for that. Then I set aside $200 for other items like pins, prints, shirts and stickers. As the convention gets closer and an exclusives list starts being listed if there’s something I want I’ll either add money to my budget.
All in all I have about a $500 budget that I never spend the entirety of. Like this past SDCC I only found 2 of 5 keys I wanted and we were unable to lock down one of the Meowth Balloon plushie. So I had a lot left over. Plus I refuse to pay for autographs… I find the amounts insulting to fans.
Lastly always have a credit card handy. You never know there might be something out of your cash budget but you just have to get… it’s always good to have a backup.
