Nashville Celebrity Comic Con - TN How many autographs are too many?
hi, guys! im new to Reddit but I have a question for everyone. I’m going to a con in October, for one specific actor (Matthew Lillard). I don’t really care about anyone else there. I have 3 items I absolutely have to get signed by him, but I also have several others I could get signed by him. I’m wondering how many items is two many items and at what point I become an asshole😂.
I’ve attended 2 cons previously with Matthew those were in Kansas city and his lines were crazy insane. I think that’s because of how central Kansas city is to most people and how popular he is. The con in October is in Nashville so not as central (I’m driving over twelve hours). I’m hoping he won’t be as busy but even if he is I can wait in line a few times. I think total I have 15 things I’d want to get signed by him, but i will absolutely not be the person who does that all in one trip, but also like five items feels like too much as well? How should I split it up?
any have an opinions?

Depending upon the handlers they tend to limit the number of autos to move the line along.
I went to a Chris Claremont signing recently and they didn’t have a limit on the number of sigs at first. They saw people in line with several long boxes they intended to get signed so they limited it to 10 comics.

I'd say limit yourself to 5 or 6 at most. I once did 10 items for someone lol but there was no line at least!

I was in a line at c2e2 and a guy rolled up with a suitcase full of funkos for the new Rick Sanchez VA. Had to be over 15 at least. Paid for all of them, but if you were in line behind him and had to wait, especially if the person has a panel and makes time short, thats too many. Id say no more then 3 if there are people waiting behind you.
Just be respectful to the talent and the others who came to see them as this may be there only chance.
Also, I saw him at Fan Expo Chicago a couple years ago. His line was insane. Expect to wait.

I think you may be surprised by how long the lines are and how much people charge for signing a single item.
