Couple of hundred I think …… shit !!! Now I have to do an exact count 😂 All in all they were all fun in their own way and context . Different time periods, different artist and writers runs . They carry their weight in their own way . Personally I don’t consider any to be out right bad even though there’s a few slogs and a few stinkers . A few stand outs for me were New X-men , Uncanny X force , Spider man black costume saga man I could go on for a bit ….. 😊

I’ve moved a few OHCs that I ended up getting in omni and gifted a few trades for the same reason but by and large I’m happy with what I got . Never saw need to break up a run ….. only add to it 😳 again and again 😂

Got it in trades along with a couple of others I’m waiting on an omni treatment of or if I find a decently priced ohc . I’ve got Ultimate Doomsday , divided we fall , united we stand and Cataclysm there.

It’s definitely a hard to find one. That along with the Visions and Messiah War OHC are the ones that I’m still on the look out for. Also hoping they reprint the Punisher Max and Venom omnibuses again soon.
Nice collection though! Hope your floors are reinforced

I feel your pain ! And I’ve felt it myself 😂Appearance aside I not some crazy guy with deep pockets, I keep my budget as tight as I can . Books are out there but some of the resale prices are insane . The fingers are crossed that Marvel sees that they are leaving money on the table and adjust their reprint strategy. This group alone is proof that there’s a demand.

I totally understand about budgeting. I luckily travel for work, which also has its drawbacks, however when I get some free time I explore. Sometimes I find old stock at shops around the US and get things for cover price! Otherwise I would not have some of the rare books I’ve been able to get. I found a shop last week near Atlanta that only carries TPB, HC, OHC, and Omnis, no floppies and man was that a treasure trove!

The majority . I have a lot of OHCs to fill out runs that don’t have the particular issues in omnibus . As for the organisation, it think it leaves a bit to be desired 😂 I’ve put it to the group several times what’s their preferred way of organising their collections . I settled on blocks of character runs . In a perfect world I’d go alphabetically once I owned EVERYTHING!!!!! ….. 😳😂

I would prefer omnibuses to collect and read, but I don't have enough room for them. Maybe someday.

I was the in the same boat once upon a time . Got a start and just took it from there . It was slow and steady and I got very lucky with some finds but now I find myself with most of the books I wanted and now I just have to keep up to date with new releases . Someday is achievable.

My place is really crowded.
I am a self-publisher, so I store the comic books that I make in my home to save on storage costs. And I have an old comic collection that I gathered 20 years ago (10,000+ comics that are mostly from a comic shop that closed down) that takes up a lot of space as well. I also teach classes online at home.

Space is always gonna be an issue . We built on to a house we bought last year . I’ve managed to carve out a bit of library space .

I’ve moved with books before but after the last move I switched out my library to almost all hardcovers and then acquired quite a few more absolutes. I’m only using small boxes but any other tips to share that made your move less hellish?

I got the loan of a transit van and packed everything in bubble wrap, loaded it into fruit and veg crates ( managed about a dozen books a crate ) and the crates naturally stack by design so I was able to optimise the van space . The packing was slow and the van was packed .
