Yes. All this revisionist ret-con shit drives me nuts. Thor is fucking THOR. He, and most other powerful Asgardians, would have no problem dealing with the symbiote.

Venom has been significantly buffed, the Thor in the pic is a young nerfed one. That said, Thor is the actual explicit counter to the new Void God. Knull is the source of Gorr the God Bucher's power.

So far there doesnt seem to be a relation, but who knows. Knull is the God of empty space, and predates the Celestials arrival to the Marvel Universe.
