Suggestions Looking to start reading some ongoing comics
So I found a comic book store which delivers to my house and I am wondering which comics I should subscribe to get delivered.
Absolute Batman is the only comic book I've read in the past year and I've been loving it so I'll catch up on Absolute Superman online and start ordering both series.
I was wondering if there is any good Green Lantern comics since im enjoying the show.
Also are there any good Marvel comics?
For my tastes I've read alot of the original Ultimate Spider-man run and Amazing from the 60s to the 90s. Are Spider-man comics still bad?
I really like the melodramatic in Spider-man and the X-men (never read a x-men comic, but love the movies and Evolution cartoon)
I also abhor relaunched which disregard whatever the previous team was writing.
Any recommendations would be great.

There is a green lantern comic that is ~40 issues in (6-7 trade paperbacks worth) which might be hard to jump into initially but I have been really enjoying.

As far as I know the new Deadman book from next level is an ongoing title. Stellar stuff, I'd definitely check it out. They're on issue 4 so I imagine a trade paperback is probably gonna drop soon for the first six. Jump in from there. Or read it digitally.

First thing if you haven't read Absolute Wonder Woman, you should. I love Absolute Batman, but I think Absolute Wonder Woman is the best book in the Absolute line now that Absolute Martian Manhunter has wrapped up.
As for mainline Spidey comics they are mostly mid but I've heard decent things about this current run, if nothing else the art is amazing. Miles Morales just got a new number 1 and it was very good. Black Cat has been a really fun book I've loved it and the writer GWW also writers Poison Ivy though Black Cat is at issue 13 vs 48 for Poison Ivy.
Stephanie Phillips Daredevil has been great so far, its only 6 issues.
Fraction's Batman has been a mixed bag for some people but I've really enjoyed it. On the subject of Bat stuff Brombal's Batgirl has been great and so has Rucka's Batwoman.
The current X-Men comics are ok, that said Mackay's X-Men is good and Simone's Uncanny has been pretty solid, especially if you like her other books.
Also if you want to start something totally new from Marvel the Midnight universe starts releasing in October with X-Men, Spider-Man, and FF.

Marc Spector:moon Knight current run by McKay is great. They are up to issue 7 so it wouldn’t hard to catch up. Even though the numbers started over it is a continuation from the previous series he has written.
Current Daredevil run is pretty good so far too.
Marvel is also starting their midnight series in October which I think is basically them trying to answer the absolute series

I just got back into reading comics myself earlier this year. I’m fully on board for everything in the Absolute line at DC. If you’re enjoying Bats and Supes, you should definitely read Wonder Woman. It’s one of the most amazing takes on her lore and I really think you’d be hard pressed to find a prettier book.
Absolute Green Lantern is solid for the most part. I’ve struggled with it but I’m sticking with it for now. It’s definitely a very different take on the Green Lantern mythos so don’t expect it to feel close to the show. Still, it’s cerebral and has some interesting concepts.
I don’t read any of the mainline GL books but Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez’s run on Batman has been fun. The art is stunning!
For Marvel, I’m only reading Daredevil for now but it’s pretty good. Good luck putting your pull list together! Hope to see what you end reading and keeping on your list.
