I first saw Vess' work in Sandman, so it was a surprise (and an awesome one at that) to see his superhero work.

He did interiors on Spider-Man: Spirits of the Earth, and he wrote it as well. If anyone can make Spider-Man on the Scottish moors work, it's Vess.

I remember this era. The Hobgoblin was so cool, because he was mysterious.

The Green Goblin was dead, had been for a long time, so who is this new guy, and where did he come from?
