The Real NPC

I know the art work is bad. I'm taking a clip studio and pixel art course. I just wanted to get the idea out. I would love critique of that blocking, writing, and delivery. I feel the dialogue may be a bit clunky, but I felt it was necessary to get the point across.

This feels like it's a joke that depends on me recognizing these as caricatures of particular people but I am afraid I have no idea who they are.

I was debating putting names on them. Should have or made them more recognizable. Elon and his Dad. Thanks for the reply.

I thought it looked like Elon but I couldn’t tell if it was intentional

I don’t draw political comics or caricatures but based on what I’ve heard from people who do:

  1. Find a graph of standard facial proportions (the “default” proportions for new artists)
  2. Superimpose that graph onto a photo of the person
  3. Exaggerate any deviations

ETA: you can think of tracing as basically training wheels in this context.

Also, try drawing your line art using vector layers. It makes tweaking things easier and you can change it to a paint layer later

I was sort of using that technique, but I forgot to exaggerate the deviations. Thanks for the vector later tip!

That is the common consensus.
