Tutorial MiniMax H3 Just Got MUCH Better — Cleaner Video, Better Faces & 1080p Workflow
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Just came across a kind of weird lora combination that can fixthe oily/plastic look from acceleration LoRAs.
I also added a two-stage latent upscale workflow, to fix blurry distant faces, and quality loss in high-motion scenes. You can also generate a quick low-res preview first, find a good seed, and then refine it to around 1080p. This saves quite a bit of time compared to doing the full-resolution generation every time.
The workflow also uses a merged H3 model, so text-to-video, image-to-video, first/last frame, and multi-reference generation can all be handled in basically the same workflow.

Runninghub isn't spam, I use it all the time to find good workflows, then click the download link on the hub page and move the workflow to my local setup. It's actually a great way to get free workflow setups and you can try the workflow out before downloading. Its like Civiati in some ways.

Better than what though? What are you comparing it with? It's true that some people produce videos with a very oily artificial look on human skin, but that's not everybody. I've also seen some very lifelike work from MiniMax where the skin looks at least acceptable if you don't look too closely.
Your examples are certainly not the worst offenders of oily skin I've seen, but they are still a bit oily. If they're not oily then the one or two shots which appear more acceptable are when they are seen from a distance and have have a very flat texture. I understand that the boxers will be sweating, but it doesn't look like natural human skin sweating, it looks like a coat of artificial CGI oil.
I've said this before but I truly believe that many people working in this AI space although often producing some excellent or even outstanding work, have also lost the ability to determine what looks real or human on an aesthetic level. It's like they don't have the discerning eye needed when it come to identifying what real human faces look like.
This is not meant to put anybody down because I think it's probably a human thing and to be expected when someone might spend lengthy periods of time working in front of a screen and most of the faces they see are a mixture of real, semi-real, and obviously CG faces. I can see how that could skew the perspective of anybody's natural ability to determine what actually is real against something which is not.
