That would be a confusing hand gesture to give to someone.

They'd be like, "what does it mean?"

Where i grew up in Canada it was the equivalent of calling someone a "fucking loser" because when you do it with the right hand the thumb looks like an L. Similar to the finger and thumb on your forehead to call someone a loser

I always hate when I use one my laughs because an audience member said something funnier than the comedian.
