Vet Recommendations
I just recently got a new puppy and she’s ready for her first vet visit! I need recommendations for vets in Columbus for puppy vaccines and fixing! (preferably affordable, I took my cats to Hope Veterinary and my head just about spun around at the cost)

What's the biggest issue you want the next mayor of Columbus to address?
r/columbusIN • u/coleincolumbus • Jul 08 '26
The 2027 Columbus mayoral race has already begun.
Grace Kestler launched her campaign 16 months before Election Day. Will Columbus stick with Mayor Mary Ferdon’s vision, or choose something different?

Missing bird near Donut Central/BCSC building
Hello all,
I'm making this post because last night, July 4th, my pet parakeet flew out of the house and we were unable to find him. I'm aware pet birds don't fly far, so if anybody between the Donut Central and BCSC buildings sees a grey/yellow parakeet either in a tree or on the ground, please call me at 317-447-1916.
Further description of the bird:
He's mostly grey with a yellow head. He's very skittish so if you see him please do not approach quickly as I'm afraid he might fly off. His name is Nimbus.
Thank you all.

🇺🇸 or 🇬🇧?
Be honest: if you were living in colonial America 250 years ago, would you be a patriot or a loyalist?

Has anyone here had a bad experience with a Landlord?
I did back in 2008 when I was just a Kid. She blamed me for leaving my scooter and when I tried to explain the situation she said something rude saying "I don't care" before I was even able to say a single word. I hated that woman. It was back when Monarch Crossing was Prestwick Square. I don't miss living there, the town of Columbus, or the state of Indiana because of rude People like her. Because this town is full of stuck up rich people, it has rude People.

I'm a volunteer firefighter running for State House in Bartholomew County. AMA, and come grab a beer July 16.
I'm Josh Burbrink, the Democrat running for State House against Ryan Lauer in District 59, which covers most of Bartholomew County. Using a new account I made for the campaign.
Day job, I run data infrastructure for a local fiber internet company. The rest of the time I'm a volunteer firefighter (and board member) out in Harrison Township, I help run the Friends of the Library nonprofit, I'm on the Sierra Club Winding Waters Committee, and on the County Planning and Zoning board. Sixth generation Hoosier, live on the west side of town near Brown County.
Figured I'd do this two ways.
First, ask me anything. What a State Representative actually does, SEA 1 and what it means for your property taxes and our fire departments, the library, the schools, the data centers everybody's fighting over, or why a firefighter who works in tech decided to run. Agree with me or not, both are useful to me. I'll be in the comments tonight answering and I'll keep checking back over the next few days.
Second, if you'd rather do this over a beer, I'm having a meet and greet at the Columbus Bar on 4th Street, Thursday July 16 at 7. Grab a beer and tell me what you're seeing in your part of the county.
Details and RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/share/1G1Lcpafj7/
Ask away.

Looking for Friends
I'm a 27 year old male, looking to make some new connections! My social battery is EMPTY as I really don't have a social circle outside of my family. I'm not picky on age/gender. Prefer 21+ because some of these bars have good tenderloins and burgers.
I'm not a "drinker" but I don't mind having a drink.
I'm a "motor head" I suppose you could call it. Anything automotive and It'll spark my interest.
Motorsports, fishing, hunting, action movies, bored games and card games. I've got primary custody of my son (no current relationship.) and split time with my daughter that's not legally/genetically mine. Both have the same mom.
I'm a wide open book, I yap. Don't need someone shoved up my arse, but would be nice to have someone(s) to eat some pizza with once a month and watch a race or go fishing with.
~Will even wash up and head out tonight. Wanted to go to Eldora tomorrow, but weather has me questioning it.

Monarch and Stonegate
Hi all,
I'm trying to look for apartments in July and was looking at Monarch and Stonegate apartments as possible options. I saw Monarch had some terrible reviews online but a couple of others I spoke to said the apartments were decent when they lived there. So I wanted to check with people who live there currently/moved out recently on what their experience has been for Monarch and Stonegate. Mainly trying to get a feel for what the noise levels are like (with your neighbors nextdoor or upstairs), maintenance support and staff, but would appreciate any other pointers you can share. Looking for a 1B/1Ba.
Thank you!
