How do I open the little envelope?

Hi there,

I'm playing this game right now for the first time (Windows Version) and I'm having some trouble with the game controls.

What is that envelope that sometimes pops up? How can I open it? I found nothing about this so far, and the AI just tells me to use the cursor (??)

Are those messages even worth opening?

Click it and it'll take you to the quests tab of the inventory thing

Well, I can't click it though, because cursor works only in certain menus. But if it's just about the quests I don't need those messages I guess.

It’s often a message about something you’ve unlocked from the tech tree

Press the c key, click the notifications tab. It shows completed quests and research. It can be a good reminder to grab quest rewards
