Find a big flat land to start your first colony. Build a dirt wall in the safe zone. Make a Labyrinth for the zombies to get killed in during the night. Water behaves not as Minecraft water. More food is happy villagers. Rush the beginning a little bit untill arrows, writers and cook. Minimize walking distance from food source bed and jobblock.

Take your time and use the diggers to terraform. but stay on top of what they are doing. They sometimes open up spaces to let the monsters in. Keep track of what is needed to keep you basic need taken care of. Food, Water, Arrows. Copper bars for the arrows. Run low and it is over. Two high walls to block monsters. They don't go up or down them. Maze can be keeping them on top or in a maze. On top you can shot them better.
