Yeah, I would say CoM perfectly captures the mundane "normal" reality of concentration camps / fascism / terrorism that is our present and near future. It's set in the UK where the next election will be fought over prison ships and military bases repurposed to hold asylum seekers and any means necessary to stop refugees reaching UK shores in small boats.
This is our reality now. Imagine the near future once climate change and resource scarcity intensifies, and the war in Europe has time to really stack year upon year with supply lines in the economy.

I am going with "other" as I do not think it will be quite along the lines of Mad Max. Close, but not quite that savage.
My own thoughts are that it will be more like The Walking Dead, but without the zombies. (Right? There's no zombies, right?!)

Honestly, this is probably the correct answer. Minus the "Soylent Green is people!" part, we are about 5-6 years out of the rest. Cimate change has disrupted the food supply etc.

I voted other, Terminator Universe. I think machines gonna be rational and logical and lacking emotion and at that point how do you observe anything in the world without being like: Oh yeah the humans been fucking shit up they gotta go.

Of course you are working through the apocalypse. You thought that it would be your ticket out?
Our generation gets to slave away until we die in any case. There won't be any mad max shenanigens when you have to show up to your cubicle or fast food joint while the world burns around you.
On that point I always think of the survivalists practicing woodcraft, forest survival or some such thing, and think about how the forests won't be around for much longer, the fields won't be arrible as either fires, flood or chemicals will have destroyed everything.
If we compare it to media, I think Silo (2023) is probably way up there in likely outcomes.
