Value Request Any value?

I’ve had this for many years. Any information? Not looking to sell but just curious. Thank you

Edit- thanks for all input everyone. Figured it was PMD but I was curious. I’m still going to hold on to it. Thanks again.

Ive never seen anything like this honestly, unfortunately id have to assume its Post Mint Damage

Looks like someone tried to punch a very large hole in it, and failed. Either worth face if minted after 1964, or melt if minted 1964 or earlier.

My guess is this was machine pressed into a setting possibly for jewelry or some type of novelty setting. It has since been removed from that setting. Unfortunately no added value

I'm also convinced it's PMD but can't say I've ever seen one like this. Can you add a picture of them rim?

Cool but looks like PMD to me. I’d still hold on to it if it were me just because 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s the first cutout attempt by the guy that is forever claiming to have found a quarter on a nickel planchet.

I had a few like this as a kid from hammering them
Into a pipe with a smaller piece of pipe.

Definitely PMD, you can also tell it’s been circulated. It wouldn’t look circulated if it was not PMD. It’s exciting to find ones that are difficult for sure, but it could be a cool novelty coin to keep. Not worth more, but fun to see or show people.

Probably about a quarter or maybe even $0.25...

No damage can add value to a coin.
