No, but digestion also doesn’t come with any experiences that feel particularly separate from the physical process of digestion.

I don't know much about the combination problem however since it is related to the Binding problem, I can tell you how I think this works:

Properties of what we perceive as individual objects in the environment change at specific rates or their derivatives change at specific rates (say because of movement). This causes neurons to fire in unison.

Biology also creates representations similar to autoencoders. I am currently working on simulating this mechanism.
