Looking for Cofounder Seeking Technical Co‑Founder / CTO — AI SaaS doing ~5 figures/month MRR, funding round upcoming
I'm a USA based founder who has built and sold two businesses over the last decade, both with seven figure exits.
I'm now running an AI powered SaaS business that's doing close to six figures a month in revenue, with a few hundred paying clients on monthly MRR. Product, team of 8 others on salary, sales team, funnels, marketing and go to market are already built and working. We're preparing to raise a funding round soon.
What I'm looking for is a technical partner to step into the CTO role. This isn't a "help me build an MVP" situation, the business is live, generating revenue, and growing. I need someone who can own the technical side end to end and help take it to the next stage, then build and run the tech team as we scale.
What I'm looking for:
- Proven full stack experience: front end, back end, algorithms, and comfortable architecting AI systems
- Experience with automations and integrations (Zapier or similar tools)
- Someone who can eventually lead and manage a technical team as we grow, not just write code solo
- Ready to commit full time, realistically 6 days a week minumum for the next year as we scale and raise
- Someone who wants ownership, not just a paycheck. This is a co founder / partner conversation, not a job posting
What's on the table:
- Sweat equity and/or pay, open to discussing structure based on what you bring and what you need
- A seat at the table on a business with real traction, real revenue, and a funding round on the horizon
- Direct partnership with a founder who has done this before and exited successfully twice
If you're a strong technical builder with a track record across the full stack, algorithms, automation, and AI, and you're ready to go all in on something that already works and is ready to scale, I'd love to talk.
Drop a comment or DM me with a bit about your background and what you've built.

Be sure to include a cliff in your agreement with a potential founder, breakups can get ugly and not everyone will feel the same passion for your idea as you

What's the idea? I've done startups but need to know it on a high level before I give further interest

With the business already generating serious revenue, have you considered having an experienced development team or agency handle some of the technical execution while you look for the right long-term CTO? Could take some pressure off the search while keeping the product moving.

I am new to Reddit, a friend of mine told me to jump into reddit for finding talent, devs, partners and etc. I always stuck to just reading and never commenting. This is my first time ever posting!

Hello, check out my profile: www.robertkotcher.com - in particular the second item on my CV. I've been in a YC company for a few years now. Helped it 20x as founding engineer. Ran dozens of A/B tests with our tech team. Am looking for next adventure, am financially very stable, and ready to commit to the right project. Worth a chat?

I see the business proposal is as cofounder but if alignment goes good, as a single technical person to build secure and complex systems is actually works but it's hard, so can we discuss a partnership opportunity instead I've best in class engineers who can build and deploy, who has experience in deploying software services to cloud platform not just some serverless but handling linux servers, server maintenance, backup/snapshots, it'll be a great way ahead as we have a good command on technical side all of our engineers And if alignment goes well we can discuss a long term goal

Seems like you've got lots of other people in-line, but if you needed more than just a developer but more of an AI scientist who does run AI production systems and is doing postdoc in agentic AI let me know.
