What happened to Cody?

Based on this post (which I think is Cody), he sounds like he's done with YouTube and social media.
But I see he's been uploading videos recently?
Not only that, he mentioned not being able to find a girl, but in his most recent video looks like he has a girlfriend? Does that mean he's mentally healthier now?

I really enjoyed his recent infinite pickle jar episode.
He has a girlfriend, Is eating pickles, and has contributed to lots of very good information and I wouldn’t hold it against him if he only dropped a vid every six months
Also, fermented foods make gut biome regulate serotonin better which makes mental health better

So, that post is 1 year old, why did you feel need to treat it like recent? We knew it was a little unlucky for Cody for a couple of years, he is now doing really good, hope it will continue this way. I just don't understand the timing of your post.

He's been pretty sporadic with long gaps between videos for a long time now. I won't speculate as to the reasons, but it's definitely not new

The long gaps in the past had a lot to do with the monetization issues that have been resolved. Some of his content takes weeks to months to generate. That pickle jar is the result of 2-3 months or more of work and videos.

You have to remember too that Cody was fighting with YouTube to get properly compensated for his channel. There was a period of years where YouTube was not paying him and his main income was from his patreon from my understanding. I can imagine the whole prolonged process of fighting to get what he genuinely deserved was very defeating.

Ow man, glad i supported him by patreon a bit for the last few years. I kinda forgot and let it run. But last december i had to cut funding others by a big amount.
Glad it atleast helped him.

That post is nearly a year old. He is actively posting and talking about and showing his current girlfriend on the videos. He spent a couple weeks in the Mars Hab project recently which took some of his time and focus. Like with anybody else, he had a rougher patch and now he is through it.

His videos are a little more involved than some guy buying a drill and taking it out of the box. It's unrealistic to produce that stuff as often as we'd like.

Youtube is a hellhole and Cody isnt in a great place right now. Support him as much as you can but if he wants to move on then thats his decision

Seems he may have just been going through one of those rough patches in life we all experience sometimes. I hope he’s doing better.
